Cabarete is a small village where most supermarkets, stores, restaurants, bars, sport activities, medical facilities and of course the legendary Cabarete nightlife are all concentrated in one spot: in the center of the bay. We stayed in Cabarete because it is one of the few places in the Dominican Republic that it is not all inclusive. Ocean Dream was just a few steps away from the beach with all the amenities and comforts that you have at home. The place is big, clean, modern and has everything that you can possibly need. We even found a new bag of ice waiting at our arrival. The beaches in Cabarete are ideal for those who are looking for adventures and are willing to surf, kite surf or even sail. There are a variety of restaurants along the beach where you can have a good meal and enjoy a cold beverage and even dancing if you are into that. Spacious /neat apt at Costambar, Puerto Plata, DR
AMAZING JUST AMAZING!!!

Was the first time we had rented a place and choose the best place of all, better than expected. Clean, friendly, well stocked and when needed something in kitchen it was supplied. Clean large pool, about 10-12min walk to the beach. Louisa is just an amazing person to deal with and has been updating the building with security camera's, all new screens on windows and doorways. The building is very well taken care of. Luisa went out of her way and had taken us shopping, also had taken the group of us altogether to the chocolate factory a (must to visit )best chocolate brownies call ahead to have some made for you. She arranged a singer for us to enjoy a party as the group of residence got along so well. (Agreed by all) It was fantastic !!! She also had taken us to Mamon a village with the best fish to eat so fresh. When you arrive and settle in if you have not been there before she takes you around to show you where things are. We had stayed for 57 nights and was accepted like family right from the beginning. Wow!!! I could go on and on but just so you know how wonderful a stay it was we are booked again for next year in Jan. I had looked around the entire area and even got pricing that was comparable but was so comfortable and welcoming would not change it at all. Luisa also has contacts for all the excursions at a very good price. I have been going to the DR for over 19 years and have been staying at the Grand Paradise in Puerto Plata but now much prefer renting in Costambar. It is very safe as I walk in the morning and evening without worry you will see police patrolling the area constantly and feel at ease. Learned how to take the public car to town for only 25 peso's it is surely an experience. Also check out the pawn shop they have the New Larimar jewelry for an excellent price (Jewelry Store) about $120 and get it there for about $20 to $30 along with many other silver and gold items new and used. Could go on and on if you want to contact me then feel free to do so by email. Check out the 2 best restaurants we went to is Sharky's and Solemio sooooo delicious!!!! Did I say I love it !!!!
