Recently Remodeled! This eclectic 1300 square foot home was the art studio of the late John T. Casey, Oregon artist, Western Oregon University professor, and minister. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which comfortably sleeps 4 people or up to 6 using the day bed and trundle located in the living room. There is a full kitchen, laundry, back patio with fireplace, very spacious living room with large windows and a large shared yard. Bring your watercolors and paints and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings. Watch the horses in the stalls and pastures next door. Unplug from the world and enjoy listening to the birds. Ride your bike to the nearby vineyard for lunch or wine tasting.
Amenities include: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen including a dishwasher, coffee pot, and microwave. Kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, plates, coffee cups, wine glasses, silverware and more. The living room has large windows overlooking the yard. Relax on the couch and read a book. Play games from our collection or bring your own family favorite. Enjoy coffee on the front brick patio or play giant checkers or tic-tac-toe on the back patio.
This house is newly remodeled for Summer 2015. New bathroom fixtures, floor coverings, window coverings and more that have been installed to make your stay more enjoyable. The majority of the home is on a single level with only 2 steps up to the master bedroom and steps down to the back patio.

Honor Cabinet - we are developing a small honor cabinet with a few non-perishable and commonly forgotten items to help in case you forgot something at the store.
Peaceful countryside with quick access to lively, active vineyards offering wine tasting, lunch, Sunday Brunch, live music on weekends and more. Oak Knoll Golf course, Brunk House, Pentacle Theater, Salem's historic downtown, and Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge are all nearby. Halfway between Salem and Dallas, we are just minutes from the Willamette River and all that the valley has to offer. Depending on the season, you may see the combines working during grass seed harvest or the local farmers bailing hay, watch the neighbors training horses for the county fair or experience the wine grape harvest in the late fall. Fresh berries, corn on the cob, fruits and vegetables are available from the many local farm stands during the summer months. A short distance to the top of the hill during Christmas tree harvest and watch the helicopters work the fields loading bundles of Christmas trees. Who knows, maybe one of the trees will be in your living room for the holiday!
We are a great halfway point for cyclists headed to the Coast or participating in one of the many rides in the area. For cyclist, runners and the energetic, there are miles of bike/walking paths leading to the communities of Salem and Monmouth and parks to explore. Want to see the ocean? We are only about an hours drive to Lincoln City and the Oregon Coast. Portland, Silver Falls, Corvallis, McMinnville and more can typically be reached within an hour or less. Centrally located for those interested in touring the Covered Bridges of Oregon and seeing the countryside of the Willamette Valley. So much to do, you will want to stay an extra day!
