It is best to plan for a vehicle to get around our rural community. Plan a grocery stop on your way. The closest major grocery is Safeway on Edgewater in West Salem. Take the Rosemont exit off of Hwy 22. We are in the country, so there is no city bus service to the house. Cherriots, the city bus for Salem, are available once you reach the town of Salem and makes two trips per day to the Polk Co Fairgrounds, the Spirit Mountain Casino and more. Limo tours of the wineries are also fun!
