“Impeccable design, location & service!” My wife and I passed through Oregon on our way to Seattle after doing the Pacific Coast Drive. We purpose to find locations to stay that have put significant thought into the aesthetics of the accomodations they provide. We were stunned to discover the Redfish loft. The design by Gary Robertson is perfect. Artwork/furniture by Hawthorne family of artists tastefully fill the place. The bathroom with the window makes the space seem much bigger than the advertised 450sq fee. You are never without the breathtaking view! Jeff was great, from the initial phone call to after hours check-in. Chris, the owner and , graciously brought us lattes in the morning, and stayed to chat for a few minutes. Lena at the restaurant provided excellent service taking our order, and then later delivering it to us. Port Orford was supposed to be a pass-through town on our journey. It is now a future destination of ours.

“Perfect Location” I have stayed in Pop's Cottage at Beverly Beach, Oregon twice. The cottage has everything needed for a nice get-away. The view from the large living room window is fantastic! This is an older home, but has some nice upgrades to help make the stay easier. During our stay this year we used the barbeque to cook chicken and salmon. The children loved the telescope in the living room. Access to the beach is easy, but we found that driving is the best way to get there. There was plenty of room for our group of 8.

Oregon holidays

Oregon is an increasingly popular holiday destination in the western United States. With stretches of silky sun-kissed beaches and a rugged interior of prickly pine trees and jagged cliffs, the state's diverse scenery is its major draw, though the cosmopolitan city of Portland is gaining a wider and wider following as a hidden urban gem. A beer lover's haven, Oregon also boasts the fourth-largest collection of microbreweries in the U.S.

Be sure to make time for these top destinations and attractions:

  • Portland: For a taste of the big city, Oregon style, check out Portland, a fun loving, and alternative place that is brimming with vintage stores and communal art spaces.
  • The Pacific Coast Highway: If you arrive by car, it's well worth your while to slow down and take the scenic route. Extending up from California, the "PCH" winds and meanders along the Pacific shores, serving up some spectacular views while servicing some of the most popular hotspots for romantic getaways in Oregon.
  • Crater Lake National Park: One of several National Parks in Oregon, Crater Lake National Park is a unique must-see, with a natural body of water that settled atop a now-dormant but once-flourishing volcano.
  • Mount Hood: A short drive from Portland, Mount Hood is a mecca for skiers and snowboarders alike. During the summer, visitors can revel in its natural beauty by hiking or biking the area's hills and trails.
  • The Oregon Coast: The northern, central and southern Oregon Coast is home to dozens of quaint seaside towns, resort areas and bluff- and tree-lined scenic natural playgrounds.

Whether you're seeking accommodations in Portland, Oregon Coast lodging or a place to stay in the interior of the state, consider a holiday rental as a convenient alternative to a hotel. Beach houses, condos, rustic cabins and villa-style beach rentals are available to holidayers throughout the state.

If you want to explore the Pacific coast beyond Oregon, head north to Washington, which boasts equally spectacular natural beauty, or south to sunny California. The Interstate highway system makes it easy to sightsee to your heart's content, though the Pacific Coast Highway is highly recommended for travellers who aren't in a hurry.

Excellent and quiet

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is private, quiet and off the beaten path. Nice view, very clean and equipped nicely. The electric fireplace is a nice touch and water pressure is great. I would suggest a tub matt so nobody slips though. Close to everything including a local brewery. I would stay again.see more

Fantastic beachfront rental

This home became a favorite as soon as we walked in the door. Beautiful home and a great setting. It’s all the little extras that really add to the experience...hotel type robes in each room, quality shampoo, everything you could want in the kitchen, pet beds, crates and dishes for the fur babies, binoculars and telescope, and a really nice hot tub just to name a few. With five adult kids there are usually differences of opinion, but all agreed this was a place we will visit again.see more
