New to the market. Across from the El Yunque National Rain Forest. Lovely family friendly apartment in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Just renovated with all new appliances and furniture.

The apartment is in a secure gated community with 24/7 security. Beautifully furnished and perfect for couples traveling solo, families with children, destination weddings, and other special events. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, coffee cups, wine glasses, coffee maker, blender, toaster, washer, dryer,cable, WiFi, a spacious large comfortable terrace with views of the ocean and El Yunque Rain Forest, a comfy hammock, two parking spaces and a brand new Schwinn 170 upright exercise bike. The complex also has a beautiful pool, basketball court and a children's playground located near the security booth.

The apartment features artwork from Puerto Rican and Latin American artists. Located 100 yards or so from the luxury Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort Spa and Golf Course (literally around the corner) and is an easy drive into San Juan (about 25 minutes). The apartment has five beds (2 full, 2 twin and 1 queen) and comfortably sleeps up to 6-8 guests.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the entire apartment. Each apartment has two parking spaces that are labeled to match the apartment unit.

Interaction with Guests

The property manager Rick Avella, who lives on site, will be your main point of contact. Rick will coordinate pick up of keys and respond to emails, calls and confirm reservations. He can provide information on local tourist attractions, where to go to enjoy a good meal or rent bikes, jet ski's etc. He will also coordinate drop off and pick up of keys and the remote.

The Neighborhood

Hillside Village in Rio Grande is close to numerous popular vacation activities and destinations—including snorkeling, jet skiing, hiking, four wheeling, horseback riding, zip line, shopping outlets, restaurants and movie theaters.

There is a supermarket a 5-minute drive away.

Google maps will guide you to Hillside Village and other key locations and shopping areas. The easiest way to get there is to program Wyndham Hill resort into GPS and make the first right after you pass the Wyndham. Hillside Village is the complex on the left as you go down that road. Google maps has Hillside Village in its settings.

A favorite restaurant is Lluvia which is located on Avenida Principal as you head towards the El Yunque Rain Forest.

El Yunque Rain Forest and Luquillo Beach

Great for hiking. Please wear appropriate footwear. A fun all day activity combines a morning trip to El Yunque rainforest with an afternoon of swimming, sunbathing and relaxing on serene Luquillo Beach. The soft sands, shaded by imposing coconut palm trees and the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, make it a dreamer retreat.

El Yunque Horseback Riding Tour

Enjoy the incredible views and experience stunning flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem. Local tour companies take guests along the Mameyes River, whose fresh, clear waters are perfect for cooling off during a swimming and refreshment break.

Island of Culebra

Visit the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge established 1909. Culebra has dozen's of pristine beaches, miles of coral reef, birds and sea turtles.

Visit the island of Vieques. Several of Vieques beaches have colorful names: Blue Beach, Red Beach, Green Beach and much of the island is a nature refuge with spectacular beaches. The small island has become a favorite of sophisticated adventurers.

Old San Juan

Fall in love with the beautiful cobblestone streets and colorful buildings that date back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when Puerto Rico was under Spanish possession. With an abundance of shops, open-air cafés, restaurants, gracious homes, and tree-shaded plazas.
