Our home Hacienda del Carmen, is a two story town home centrally located within walking distance to many attractions in Rincon. The home boasts rustic style; fine wood work, tropical colors throughout, attempting to capture the cultural and historical influences of colonial Spain and modern Puerto Rico. Its overall design is unique to Hacienda Del Carmen. Each of the second story, three bedrooms has AC and open to a balcony or terrace. The bottom living area has a new 30,000 BTU AC; with ceiling and wall fans throughout the house. The bottom back patio area contains a refreshing cool water spa/Jacuzzi with an outdoor shower. Downtown Rincon can be reached by foot in about 10 minutes. There you can find restaurants, bars, Panaderias (bakeries serving breakfast, lunch and more), pharmacies, grocery markets,and many other establishments. Like most Puertorican towns, Rincon has a central plaza used by many to gather in the evenings, after church, to play dominoes or simply to sit and talk to their neighbors while enjoying the local cuisine sold there. The home is nestled among lush tropical vegetation, and other homes in the Vista Azul development of Rincon, in a row of other vacation home rentals. This vacation home is located within walking distance of the beach and within a 5 minute drive from other beaches - ranging from surfing spots during the winter season, to snorkeling and sandy beaches for relaxation year round.
Hacienda Del Carmen is a three bedroom townhouse boasting fine wood work and a tasteful tropical décor. It is nestled in the small town of Rincon. The town name means 'corner' in Spanish as it is situated at the western edge of Puerto Rico. The town is known for its sunsets over the Caribbean Sea, as- 'El Pueblo de los Bellos Atardeceres' or 'The town of Beautiful Sunsets'. Rincon is well known for surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling and its friendly & small town atmosphere. It is frequented by visitors year round from all over the world, and locals alike. Its friendly residents will make you feel right at home. The beach is a short walk down the street in front of the house to the west, to the 90 degree turn in the street that runs parallel to the beach. Here you will find Sunset Village, a modern Festival Market located on this main town beach of Rincon. It includes beachfront shops, a seafood restaurant with an outdoor bar, a water sports & beach rentals facility and an ocean view tower. Restaurants, local bars and beautiful views will help make your vacation relaxing and memorable. Take a one minute or less drive up the street in the opposite direction and hang a left on Route 413, 'the road to happiness.' Traveling north on 413, to the first left five minutes away, is the 'Black Eagle Marina' with 'Taino Divers', and a restaurant. 'The Tres Palma Marine Reserve' begins to the north of this area with excellent snorkeling. Keep driving further to the world class surfing beaches in the Puntas area. Further along route 413 you will find the Calypso Café and popular “watering hole.' During the winter months, you can find great surf - waves can sometimes grow to 20-25 feet and break in open water for seasoned experienced surfers only. Surfing lessons can be had for a nominal fee for beginners in calmer wave areas such as Sandy Beach in the late spring, early fall, and summer months.
If you hang a right on 413 from the Hacienda del Carmen, you can walk into the center of Rincon and find the town square with the Santa Rosa Church, cafes, grocery market, shops, bars, and more. If you wander up a side street and start climbing up the hill sides you are likely to discover views of the Caribbean Sea and Desecheo Island.
