We were for the second time at Villa Artemis. The location right in the olive grove is charming as is the view of the bay . But this is nothing if one may enjoy the hospitality of family Sofoulaki . In the house were all things of everyday life , we had to buy the 3rd day - but this particular one is the kindness of all family members ; every wish is already fulfilled before he was pronounced .
Dear Hans and Gisela, Thank you very much for your nice comments concerning our hospitality and generosity. It was our pleasure to meet you again and offer you accommodation at our villa. We wish you all the best and we hope to see you again in the near future. Sofoulakis family

"One of the best holidays we have ever had!"
We had such a fantastic stay at Villa Artemis. From the moment we arrived (very late at night) we were made to feel very welcome and we were extremely well looked after. The pool and surrounding grounds are lovely and well cared for. Inside and out-everything was in very good condition and spotlessly clean. The villa is private but not too remote, so you can still walk to a shop and fabulous local taverna on the square in Prines, where we had super traditional Greek food and drinks. We liked it so much we will be going back next year!

"Fabulous villa, great service, gorgeous location"
This is a fabulous villa and the family who run it provide great service. We have stayed here 3 times and always found it immaculately clean. The villa has everything you could want for your holiday including a lovely pool and poolside area. There are wonderful views down to the sea and to the mountains from the poolside and the first floor terrace. It feels very secluded but is only a few minutes drive to the local shops. 5 minutes more in the car gets you to Rethimnon with its lovely Venetian port and old town. Things we like about this villa...everything!

"A wonderfull stay at villa Artemis!"
We had a wonderfull stay at 'Villa Artemis'. When we arrived at the villa after a long trip from holland we were very warmly welcomed by some members of the Sofoulakis family. (The owners of 'Villa Artemis'.) They showed us arround and make us feel very welcome. In case we needed anything they will be right at the corner and come to help us. When we opened the refrigerator we saw all kinds of sweets and products from there own garden en the beautifull garden of 'Villa Artemis'. The view and the pool were amazing and we had so wonderfull weather in may when we were in Crete. The water of the pool was also very warm for the time of te year. We would definitely go back again to villa Artemis! We can recommend it to anyone! With greetz to the lovely Sofoulakis family! Best regards, Family Timmer from the Netherlands

"Could not have done more!"
We arrived tired and late in the dark on the Friday night. The villa would have been difficult to find so true to her word Stella arranged for us to be met in the local village and be taken to the villa where we were given a lovely welcome from her family together with food and Raki which was just what we needed! The level of service continued throughout the week to include being provided with fresh strawberries and other goodies. The villa was clean and well furnished and a very pleasant time was had by all of us

"Perfect accommodation for spending a relaxing and tranquil holiday"
A fantastic private and secluded villa with superb facilities: Very clean and well maintained and perfect for a relaxing holiday: We arrived at the villa to freshly home baked moussaka as well as other home grown produce; once again Stella thanks to your parents for their hospitality. Within easy reach by car of Rethymnon, which has an abundance of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. We ventured out on a quad bike safari, 4 hour guided trip through the mountains - well worth it; also if you are feeling fit take a day trip to walk the Samaria Gorge, descending from 2,100 meters over a distance of 16 km down to sea level and a boat trip back to meet the coach before returning back to Rethymnon - fantastic photographic opportunities. We would definitely recommend Villa Artemis and hope to return again in the future.

"Pristine villa in idyllic location"
We stayed at Artemis villa with teenage children and a 4 year old. The villa is immaculately kept in a quiet location with beautiful views and lots of space. The whole family thought the villa was fantastic and we were all content with what the villa had to offer, such as the pool, gym and space. We were able to walk easily into the village in the evening and the local taverna was also very good. You absolutely need a car to stay here if you plan to go any further than the village. The internet connection fluctuated throughout our stay and that was our single (minor) issue. It may well have been a short term problem however. The family are incredibly welcoming and we felt well looked after and enjoyed the luxury of staying here.
