“Cosy cabin located in fantastic Welsh countryside ,handy for the beaches”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2013

During our stay during Easter we experienced bitter cold weather ,however we enjoyed the comfort of the cosy cabin to return to after a bracing walk on the local beaches with our Corgi .The cabin is well equipped and furnished to a high standard .The site has friendly staff and a local club /bar within easy walking distance .The dog walk is located across a wooden bridge on the far side of the site and has wonderful views across the Welsh countryside .As the area is very rural the air is alive with early morning birdsong ,what a great way to start the day.The local people are very friendly and welcome dogs in the localbars .. OK we had a Corgi who was born down the road so maybe we had a slight adv antage ! Recommended

“Wonderful holiday in beautiful location”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2013

We stayed in this log cabin at the beginning of March and have to say we had a really lovely holiday. We only read the previous review after we had booked and so were a bit anxious about what we would find, but we needn't have been. The cabin was spotlessly clean and fresh, warm and comfortable. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. One of our favourite things to do was to sit on the decking with a glass of wine watching and listening to the birds. We had lots of lovely long walks with our dogs on the area's beautiful beaches and surrounding woodland. We also enjoyed some wonderful home cooked meals in the traditional pubs which were a short drive away. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday and we are looking forward to returning.

“Not even close to our expectations.”

We got a deal no doubt about that-- we paid 380 for 3 weeks--- we left a week early didn't bother about the money because we needed light, decent heat, and a non stinking proper flushing toilet that didn't leave sewer gasses. It was dirty after the owner had just left from cleaning and the cleaning rags were left on the couch arms. We did report these issues to the main caretaker over the two weeks we were there who then told us we have been in the office an awful lot complaining and the owner knows the proper way to address these issues,,, call her. I did send a email to the owner after we left.. no response - how surprising!!

Pippy Lluest is a lovely holiday cabin that is possibly not suitable for long term family lets in the winter. These visitors sadly did not make any comment or complaint to me personally during their stay other than to ask for more gas on the day it ran out and that was delivered some hours later on the same day along with a £20 electricity voucher to compensate for the few hours without gas. The same speedy and robust reponse to complaints would have been offered if given the chance. In the event the toilet system has been fully assessed and new seals put in as a precaution. The visitors did contact me some time after they had left and I chose not to respond to them at that time as I was so upset about the trashed and filthy state the cabin was left in following their departure, all used bedding had to be destroyed along with towels and a main rug taken to the tip. The cabin now has been repainted througout and we have new curtains and carpets to complete this very attractive clean and comfortable holiday log cabin. We welcome at all times comments and constructive complaints which help us to provide a happy satisfied customer response.

“Fantastic holiday, great for dog too!!”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2012

The cabin is in a great location, although you will need a car to get around. There is loads to see and do, Cenarth itself is very pretty with 2 nice pubs, the river walk is also great. Poppit sands is lovely and great for the dog! Newcastle Emlyn is also very quaint, we went to Cardigan as well and there are some good shops there. The cabin is a little dated and could do with a lick of paint and some new curtains but we didn't mind much. We would go again and would defiantly recommend it!!
