“Very comfortable accommodation in New Milton”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2016

We stayed for a week of mixed and sometimes chilly weather. The bungalow was warm, comfortable and very well equipped. Plenty of room for a family. The standard of furnishings is one of the best we have experienced. A good selection of shops locally. A pleasant walk to the seafront. We appreciated the local produce in the welcome pack.

Hi Margaret. Thanks for your review. I am pleased you found the cottage comfortable for your needs. I hope to see you again. Liz

“Really Nice Time”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2016

We had a great time. The house had all the necessary things and more. It was very warm and comfortable. It was a home from home. We particularly liked the fact we could take our dog as we take her everywhere with us and without that we don't book anywhere. The house is nice and spacious and we would love to go back again.

Thanks for your review Garry. Hope to see you again.

“Excellent stay”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2016

Great house, really well appointed and clean. Good sized rooms and plenty of seating in the living and dining areas. There were 4 of us plus a dog. Liz the owner lives next door, she is lovely and provides a warm welcome which includes a great hamper made up of some very tasty local produce, I would recommend not bothering with the fizzy water (not Peckham Spring) and add two more beers, more chocolates, loads more, that's just me though. Our stay was only 4 days as the house was otherwise booked. It's a great place to stay and the dog loved the daily trip to the nearby coast, 10 minutes by car. A decent sized Tesco is a 5 minute drive. Access to the attached garage was good to keep the wet dog gear in. We would certainly consider visiting again. Finally Liz, your new hair doo is brilliant, it makes you look younger and taller.

Thanks for your review Andy. I am so pleased you had a great time. If you come back for a week's stay, I promise more chocs & beer! Hope to see you again soon. Even my hair my change colour again!

“EXCELLENT”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2016

I have stayed in self-catering accommodation all over the world and this is by far the nicest, well equipped house I have ever stayed in. It has been so tastefully furnished and equipped and the owner is lovely. I have just booked a 2nd visit later in the year.

Thank you Kelley for your lovely review. I will see you again soon.

“Spacious and comfortable property.”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2016

A very high class property with lots of space, comfortable furniture and everything you needed to cater for friends and family. The one drawback was the awkwardness of getting cars onto the driveway, the angle was a little tricky but everyone managed!

Hi Sally. Thanks for your review. I am so pleased you had a lovely time. I appreciate it is a little difficult for a second car on the drive but glad you managed, and that there is also plenty of road parking available for use. Hope to see you again. Liz

“The warmest of welcomes to the best holiday home ever!”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2015

I stayed here with two octogenarians and my middle - aged niece and we were all extremely comfortable here. The New Forest just gave and gave, but none of it would have been half as wonderful without a really special house to go back to at the end of the day. On arrival we were greeted with a box of goodies - a bottle of wine, a madiera cake, a pack of maccarons, a box of chocolates, two bottles of spring water and three bottles of beer. Everything was locally produced and delicious - and especially welcome after a long drive from Shropshire. Liz, our host, also welcomed us personally when we had had time to settle in. And at the end of our stay she visited to check all was well and to present us with two complimentary mugs. There were several folders with all sorts of information, a tassimo coffee maker and so many good features, I could go on for ever! All I can say is, if you are visiting the New Forest area, this is THE place to stay!

“Fantastic”

“Perfect autumn birthday weekend in a beautiful house”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2014

Looked for somewhere in the New Forest to book for a surprise 60th birthday for my dad - found this place and it was perfect from the word go. Excellent friendly communication with Liz the owner via email and phone, and a real effort was made to help the weekend be as special as possible. House was immaculate, with every possible mod-con, including underfloor heating, and we were made very welcome with biscuits, juice, beer and homemade jam. So convenient - easy to find, plenty of parking, close to a big supermarket; but also very close proximity to the Forest and coast for a feeling of 'getting away'. We had a birthday lunch on the Saturday and other family members joined us, allowing us to make full use of the great kitchen equipment, big fridge, and large range-style cooker/oven. All very impressed, and my dad is still talking about it! Several of our extended family who visited during our stay have asked for details so they can book next summer too. Thanks again.

Thank you for a great review on the cottage. I am so pleased you had a lovely weekend and hope that you can book again.

“Beautiful cottage in a good location”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2014

We spent two weeks in this beautiful holiday cottage, which is nicely situated to discover the New Forest and other nice places on the southern coast. The cottage is well equiped and beautifully decorated - it is really "home from home". Our children loved playing in the nice garden. Thanks to Liz for her hospitality and the perfect welcome hamper!

“perfect home from home”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house was very spacious, well presented and ideal for our family and dog. The hamper waiting for us on our arrival was a lovely addition, we enjoyed it so much we visited the local farm shop where the produce was from! It's ideally situated in a quiet road, within walking distance of a large tesco with everything you need. The garden is brilliant if you have a dog and was great to have the use of a BBQ with everything we needed to get it started. We would definitely recommend this house and would love to stay here again in the future.
