“Beautiful traditional cottage”
We (two families of three with two children aged 2 and 3) enjoyed our weekend break at this beautiful cottage. Lots of original features and character maintained throughout. Three upstairs bedrooms (2 double, one twin) and two bathrooms (one very large and one with bath). Lovely location opposite the green and a short walk into town. Excellent communication from owner. We hope to visit again one day.

We have just stayed here for a 2 week holiday and have loved the cottage. It's a short walk to lyndhurst and easy access to the rest of the New Forest. Lots of character and atmosphere!
Beautiful cottage with amazing placement in Lyndhurst. Only 10 minutes walk from the village centre where there are shops and restaurants to visit (del rio is lovely). There is a pub 100 yards from the cottage that is really nice aswell. The cottage was warm and cute with all appliances working and suitable. Had a great week and highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted you enjoyed your holiday at our cottage. Unfortunately one set of stairs are steep, as in most 17th century cottages, but there is a safety gate. It would be impossible to fit a handrail. In fact, it's perhaps a matter of kids getting used to things as my 2 granddaughters of 3 and 5 love to scramble up and down both sets of stairs. With regard to the oven, I shall certainly look into the temperature it as I was there over Easter and cooked a roast lamb for 12 people without any problem. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back again.
