We booked Swan Cottage for a small family reunion, the first time I and my daughter's had seen their grandmother since before Lockdown. We weren't disappointed. The cottage was beautiful and just a short walk from Lyndhurst in one direction and stunning woodland in the other with free roaming ponies. Although the cottage is easy to find, it is near a busy junction and we didn't chance trying to pull into the drive, which looked quite narrow. However we found parking around the back of the cottage easy and we used the back gate to access the cottage. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. Two bathrooms were a bonus for us 5 women and the shower room was particularly spacious with a very good shower. There were two staircases to the bedrooms although my mother couldn't manage the steeper, narrower one. We also banned my 8 year old granddaughter from using it at night due to how narrow it was between the rooms at the top and we kept the Stairgate on to prevent accidents. This wasn't a problem and we managed perfectly with the other staircase. On the whole, everything about the cottage was perfect for us.

“Beautiful traditional cottage”
We (two families of three with two children aged 2 and 3) enjoyed our weekend break at this beautiful cottage. Lots of original features and character maintained throughout. Three upstairs bedrooms (2 double, one twin) and two bathrooms (one very large and one with bath). Lovely location opposite the green and a short walk into town. Excellent communication from owner. We hope to visit again one day.
