No.4 Broad Street Gardens Apartments offers modern purpose built self catering accommodation right in the heart of historic Kirkwall. Situated between the beautiful Tankerness House Gardens and Kirkwall Town Hall, Broad Street Gardens provides the perfect base for exploring Orkney's main town of Kirkwall and beyond.

Apartment 4 is on the first floor, overlooking the lovely Tankerness House Gardens next door. There are two double bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. Fitted kitchen is very well equipped and has a double oven, microwave, washer/ dryer, dishwasher and fridge/ freezer. Living area has large picture window and two comfortable sofas. For your entertainment there is a Smart TV, a bluetooth speaker and free Wi-Fi access. The bathroom has a large walk in shower. Comfortable temperature is maintained with underfloor heating throughout powered by an air source heat pump with individual temperature controls in each room. The apartment has one on site private parking space. All bedding, towels, electricity and wifi are provided at no extra charge. Also supplied in each apartment: hairdryer, iron & ironing board, clothes dryer (plenty of room for drying in hot cupboard). Cots, baby baths and high chairs available on request (Please note cot bedding is not provided).

Less than five minutes walk from Kirkwall bus station, tourist and travel information centre, shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and all the main street amenities. Kirkwall Pier is the ferry terminal for the North Isles and is also less than 5 minutes walk away. Here you will also find Kirkwall marina with yachts for hire, other boat charters and day excursions. Located only a few minutes walk away from Kirkwall's central attractions of St. Magnus Cathedral, the Earl's and Bishop's Palaces and the Orkney Museum. Other amenities within easy walking distance include fitness centre, cinema, swimming pool, theatre, sandy beaches, horse riding and 18 hole golf course.

Please note: Apartments can be accessed from 4pm onwards on check in day. Keys are kept on site in coded key safes for flexibility of arrival therefore there is no personal meeting on check in.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Allison (the owner) a message.

If Allison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
