From the owner

Pinewood Steading is a converted stone steading in the Highlands of Scotland. We are a Gold Award Member of Green Tourism, reflecting our commitment to a sustainable green business. We are set in 3.5 acres of mixed birch woods and pine trees providing a peaceful haven in a secluded location.

A perfect place to get away from it all, to relax and unwind, to have a physical and mental detox from fast paced living, to connect with wilderness and nature.

Pinewood is immaculately presented and well-equipped, with wheelchair access, and the underfloor heating provides warmth throughout the year. The main living area is open-plan with a wood burner and leads into a large kitchen which is bright with a large cathedral window, modern and well-equipped with wonderful views of the Beauly Firth. The main double bedroom is particularly large, with a cathedral window, and a king size oak bed. It has a cosy seating area with a library of books, where you can sit for a while for some quiet time. The second bedroom can be either a twin or a super king. The bathroom is a very good size with a shower and bath and great views over to Ben Wyvis. Outside, there is decking and a BBQ along with garden furniture, so you can really enjoy those views!

We allow dogs and do not charge extra but we request that you contact us in advance first please. There is no limit to dogs, but this depends on their size.

Pinewood is only a 20 mins drive from Inverness, 35 mins from the airport, 10 mins from Beauly with it shops and cafes, and close to Loch Ness. We sit on the doorstep to some of the most spectacular scenery and mountain ranges, yet have easy access to local amenities. We appeal to walkers and tourists alike, with hill, mountain and forest walks nearby (Glen Affric, Strathconon, Abriachan, Reelig Wood), castles (Urquhart Castle, Cawdor, Dunrobin) and distilleries (Glen Ord, Tomich), or visit Loch Ness for a cruise. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquillity or pursue outdoor activities, coming home after a good day out to relax in the charm of Pinewood Steading.

Short breaks of 3 nights from Friday to Monday; or 4 nights from Monday to Friday. Weekly breaks from Monday to Monday, or Friday to Friday. (Request a quote for short stays).

We live on site, next to Pinewood Steading, but both properties are detached. We are two separate cottages and the Steading has its own private and secure garden with enviable uninterrupted views for miles. We can welcome you on your arrival if you prefer that, or we can leave the Steading unlocked for you to make your own way in. We are on hand if you need any help, questions about the Steading, or recommendations about the area. Similarly, if you want total peace and quiet with no disturbance, you will get that too!
