“An absolutely gorgeous Highland Home” My family and I are not long back from a fantastic stay at Mackenzie House, where we gathered together to celebrate my Mum's Birthday. The house is absolutely stunning and Gail has thought of everything to make this house a welcoming, fun, cosy and well appointed luxury holiday home. We made good use of the hot tub, sauna, snooker table and cinema room (complete with it's PS4 and huge library of dvds) Having stayed in many self-catering homes over the years I had arrived well prepared with all the extras we may need for our stay. Things like kitchen roll, extra toilet roll, tin foil, salt, sugar, tea bags, milk etc. There was no need however! Gail had already thought of all that and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. The welcome hamper was also delightful with lots of lovely, luxury food things. The location and views were just as stunning as the house. On top of this the house was also pet-friendly which was a huge deal for us. Our 3 doggies had a great time too! We all had such an amazing time and all agreed that a weekend was just not long enough! We all would love to return again (and again!) Thank you Gail for everything xx
“Tranquil...” A truly stunning setting for people travelling in large groups who want to get away to somewhere quiet. Landscaped beautifully with views to Loch Ness and the surrounding land, Mor Carraig was the perfect setting for our holiday.
The house is deceptively large with everything you would want for a holiday to the North of Scotland, a large conservatory with a great view, massive kitchen, beautiful garden, a bit of history and our favourite, the log fire in the lounge/library.
We were made to feel like we were home from the moment we arrived, and we will definitely be coming back!
Had an amazing weekend away with old school friends. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect house. Facilities are phenomenal, we went out for a few hours but decided the house was far better than anything we could come up with. Was relatively easy to find due to the directions and large wood carving at the end of the drive stating the house name. Taxis were cheap to Inverness too. Hot tub was incredible, cinema with the PS4 was a lovely discovery aswell. Pictures don't do it justice, was the best weekend we've had in years, Gail is an amazing host, nothing was too much for her, thanks again if I could give more stars I would …
