Bluebell' is a unique apartment which forms part of the old Barn at Gaer Fawr. Recently renovated, Bluebell has managed to retain the old charm of the Barn including exposed beams and oak doors with latch door handles, but also offers guests all the comfort and facilities they would expect from a modern holiday apartment. The views from the property are simply stunning and can be enjoyed from the private patio and garden that is directly outside the apartment and is only for our guests use. The spacious kitchen has everything you would expect including dishwasher, fridge freezer, double oven and microwave. The lounge is comfortably furnished with TV, DVD player and two sofas and armchair and the bedroom and bathroom are well appointed.

The Barn at Gaer Fawr is located up a private drive, well away from the main road so guests will enjoy peace and relaxation. The ancient woodland of Gaer Fawr is adjacent and you can access some super walks directly from the property. Keen cyclists can also get out on some of the regions quieter roads and enjoy the fantastic scenery.

The busy market town of Welshpool is only 5 minutes drive away, offering many attractions including castles and a canal to take you back to a bygone era. Powys Castle is one not to be missed if you can manage it. You could also take a drive to the stunning lake Vyrnwy, where you can try your hand at watersports and cycling or enjoy a leisurely walk and good lunch. Golf and fishing are popular in this part of Wales, too, with plenty of golf courses and a coarse fishing lake.The larger town of Shrewsbury is only 14 miles away and is renown for its annual flower show, large central park and good shopping.

Bluebell is located on our farm so we are never very far away to help our guests with anything they need. We will always meet guests when they arrive to ensure everything is in order and show them around Bluebell. We appreciate that many guests come to ‘get away from it all’ so once checked in we leave guests alone unless they need us.

Why can't I call Nicky (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.

If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
