Relax in a 4star cottage on a traditional welsh family run sheep farm.Y Cartws offers the ideal base however you wish to spend your time exploring the coast and countryside of beautiful West Wales.

Y Cartws' is a renovated outbuilding (formerly the cart-house and stables) on a sheep farm - Maesyfelin. The owners, Paul and Eirlys Williams and their family are the 7th generation of the family to have farmed here.

Situated just off the A478 Tenby to Cardigan road it is central to the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion with ample attractions to suit all the family.

Y Cartws offers the ideal base however you wish to spend your time while exploring the coast and countryside of beautiful West Wales. Y Cartws is located in a great spot for star gazing with it's wonderful dark sky's at night when the weather permits. Feel free to have a wonder around our land or perhaps you might like to give us a hand with the lambing during March and the beginning of April, or just relax if you like the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.

Y Cartws has a fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A separate drying room with a washing machine and ironing facilities. The living room has a flat screen tv with free view and dvd player, comfortable leather seating. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin with the option of an extra single and cot) with quality bed linen provided, also a bathroom. The cottage is heated with oil central heating, a small charge of £20 is required between the months of mid September to mid April. Wi-Fi available in the kitchen only. The cottage is non smoking.

Outside the cottage there is plenty of parking space and an outside bench and table.

Why can't I call Eirlys (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Eirlys (the owner) a message.

If Eirlys (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
