Description

An original 19th Century Romany wagon nestles into the hillside, commanding a green and leafy view of a valley in west Wales on an organic smallholding. Buzzards fly overhead and rabbits skip across the grass, nature is everywhere but the peace is overwhelming. Tucked at the end of a long private track sit the gypsy wagon and eco-cabin, lovingly restored to feature some of the charms of old Romany life with a few modern comforts.

Sleep and relax on a king-size double bed with super cosy 15 tog microfibre duvet, Welsh woollen blanket, cushions and hot water bottles. Glass fronted cabinets display china and trinkets, lacework and doilies decorate furniture and a brass mantelpiece heralds the range stove. Stay warm and snug with the option of dinner in the oven too.

Just alongside the caravan is the eco-cabin, featuring a cute kitchen and dining area, sofa for two and bathroom with an extra large shower cubicle. This is a truly green holiday, the cabin is completely off-grid

Just alongside the caravan is the eco-cabin, featuring a cute kitchen and dining area, sofa for two and bathroom with an extra large shower cubicle. This is a truly green holiday, the cabin is completely off-grid with solar water heating (plus boiler just in case), PV panels (for electricity) and a Swedish compost loo – just like any other. Bring your laptop and watch films, pick a book from the reading shelf or play a game of cards.

There's plenty of space for lounging and is the perfect spot for watching the sunset. Doze in the hammock on the verandah or snuggle up on the bench. The fire pit can come to life for simply toasting marshmallows or cooking a hard-earned stew on the chitty. A Swedish wood-fired hot tub with equally amazing views is available to hire on-site for your exclusive use.

A breakfast basket of pastries, fruit and yoghurt can be ordered and our famous pizza nights may just complete the catering needs for your stay. With 3 acres of organic horticulture, vegetables, fruit, honey and preserves are seasonally available to buy.
