"A great place to stay in snowdonia at a reasonable price!"
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself has its own unique character, is well kept and clean, as where the utilities and . The owners Ian & Sheena couldn't of been more helpful, I recommend to anyone who wishes to explore snowdonia, as its quite well placed to do so, many mountains, attractions and beaches near by, not too far from portmadog to stock up on supplies,

"Warm cosy cottage, great location, great value for money."
Had a great week here with 2 young children last Autumn. Fantastic location and setting, and so much to do locally. We didnt use the car for 4 days! Warm, cosy cottage - lovely wood burner in the lounge, sweet private garden and the use of the owners bigger garden space next door too! The cottage even had comfortable beds! Great hosts - very welcoming and helpful. 5*.

"Lovely, peaceful and cosy cottage with beautiful surroundings."
A beautiful period Welsh cottage with gorgeous gardens. Perfect for families with dogs, it is owned by the nicest and most obliging couple, Sheena and Ian, who know the area very well and suggested some beautiful walks nearby. This is our second visit here and both times have been perfect. The cottage has everything you need and is always kept so clean! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the surrounding area of Snowdonia at it's best.

"Fantastic setting, people and location"
Stayed last week in August 2012 as last minute booking, mix of weather but location brilliant for beach and mountains etc. Shame we could not make the most out of the gardens due to the weather. Lots of DVDs and freeview tv for the evenings when it rained though. Fantastic waterfall just across the road. There was myself, wife and two children, 7 and 10 and our two dogs and there are some fantastic walks very close to cottage, and some fantastic beaches within circa 12miles. Recommend Black Rock and Harloch. Bedgelert and other touristy locations all close enough to enjoy without having to drive for hours. Shame the Ffestiniog train was so expensive though as we walked to nearest station - about a mile - and it was £45.00 return for us all just to Portmadog then another £70.00 to Carnarfon. A lovely couple and children who made us feel welcome. Thanks for letting our children use your zip wire and trampoline. Was worried our children might find it boring and compact but they had a great time as did our dogs. Would recommend to any one as great value for money, in a lovely old cottage. Only thing i missed was a local pub but did find a nice Hotel / pub called the Oaklands within driving distance, just a bit too far to walk. Thanks Oliver and Sheena for a lovely week.

A very warm and friendly welcome from Sheena and Ian when we arrived and throughout our stay. Well equiped cosy cottage ideal for family of four. Children loved the bunk beds. In a lovely setting. Great location for visiting nearby attractions - Slate mine, Portmeirion, Mt Snowdon, Porthmadog beach to name a few. Wi-fi available. Had a fantastic time and superb weather. Thank you.

"Great stay in a cosy cottage full of character!"
We loved pretty much everything about our stay here (apart from the weather). The cottage is not huge, but enough room for the 4 of us (two adults, two children 8 and 10), clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed the wood burning stove in the lounge, and the owners gave us all the wood we wished for. We enjoyed eating out in our garden, and the owners let our kids play in their garden with trampoline and a zip wire. The location is away from the crowds, beautiful surroundings for hilly walks directly from the cottage.

"great but not so great"
This is a lovely cottage set in great surroundings and belongs to a great couple, the only thing that lets it down is the cleanliness of the cottage, we came home early due to this problem.
We are sorry, the cottage was not up to our usual standard, as this booking was at the end of a very busy holiday season, the cottage was in need of re-decorating (which we undertake at the end of every season) and we suspect this was the cause. I ask all our guests on arival to inform us directly if there are any problems, we pride ouselves on ovecoming all difficulties we are presented with, quickly and effciently. However, if we are not told then this becomes difficult, we do not live in the propery ouselves and can miss minor issues, so we rely on our guests to be vocal in that respect and indeed, we activly encourage it. It is a shame that these guests, for what ever reason, felt unable to approach us with thier problems, thereby denying us the oppotunity to put things right. We have since upgraded the property and implemented a more thorough system of checks, hoping to address the non specific problem raised. We would like to take the oppotunity to thank the hundreds of our guests that have stayed with us over the years, many of whom have become good friends. Regards Sheena
