The Grove holiday cottage is perfect for that peaceful family get-away. It is located at the foothills of the beautiful Mountains of Mourne. It is only 0.5 miles from the seaside village of Annalong, a popular holiday & fishing resort with a picturesque harbour and historic corn mill. Just 20 minutes from the seaside resort of Newcastle, the grove is the perfect place to explore the Kingdom of Mourne, including the fantastic forest parks of Castlewellan, Tollymore and Kilbroney. An adventure trip on the carlingford ferry could see you visit the historic Irish town of carlingford or relax in peace and quiet in the countryside.

A restored listed building from the 1800's, it has all the luxuries of a modern home but still maintains the charm and character from the original house. There is stunning views of the Mourne Mountains to the rear and the Irish Sea to the front. The cottage has ample parking and at the rear is an enclosed yard with playpark, picnic and BBQ area. You will have peace of mind the kids are secure whilst having super fun. The cottage also has free WiFi and all linen is included. Just bring food, wine and enjoy.

We are ideally located for hill walkers in the mountains, golfing at the nearby royalcountydown, kilkeelgolfclub & ardglassgolfclub. (please ask for bespoke golfing holidays, greenfees, transport and caddies available) Mountain biking is extremely popular in the area with bike rental available at local parks. If all this sounds too energetic, nip into the Slieve Donard resort and spa or the house offers peace and quiet in a stunning part of Ireland.

How do damage deposits work?

If Michael (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
