“One word... Fantastic” We visited the villa as a large family of 12 to celebrate some special birthdays. 21st, 50th and 80th, we wanted somewhere special that would be suitable for all the age groups and Serenity villa 2 exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived at the airport we were all overwhelmed with how helpful and accommodating our transfer driver was providing us with cold bottles of water and cold cloths. The 1hr 30 mins transfer was comfortable and went really quickly (Brave tours). Upon arriving at the villa we were all so gob smacked as to how amazing the view were and how magnificent the living room / kitchen was when we first walked into the villa. The property manager Billy showed us round and answered any questions we had (lovely chap, extremely helpful) and he provided us with a turkish mobile incase we had any questions and delivered water for the water cooler whenever we needed. Every room was immaculate and had an amazing view. The infinity pool, jacuzzi, pool table and ping pong kept all ages occupied during the day and we made use of the fantastic BBQ on some of the evenings. I would recommend booking a boat trip from the harbour, as we were a family of 12 we could hire one exclusively to ourselves (yildiz 2) which was a great day and got to cover ourselves in mud on one of the beaches. All in all we had an amazing holiday and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone, we will certainly be revisiting.
“Perfect” Was my 1st time in Turkey. I couldn't have picked a better location or villa for my stay. Travelled with my sister and her family as they had been to Villa Tara the year before and had loved it. The views were amazing and the villa itself was lovely, spacious and well situated.
“Holiday perfection - gorgeous villa, beautiful views!” Kalkan Retreat has to be the best holiday villa that we have ever rented - top quality accommodation, unbeatable views, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, lovely swimming pool. Great to have the wifi and the Wii in the games room was an added bonus on the one stormy day. The table tennis table game us lots of fun as well. The management team gave very attentive service and were on hand if we needed them. The transfer arranged with Enes was also very good and made both our arrival and departure go completely smoothly. Our whole week's experience simply could not have been bettered. Thank you Pauline for all your superb attention to detail in the renting out of Kalkan Retreat!
“Pictures can't capture it...” We travelled as a group of 3 couples in their 20's on the 13th august for a weeks stay in "Villa Keros". After a long and exhausting journey from Dalaman airport on the "interesting" Turkish roads we breathed a huge sigh of relief when we saw the bay of Kalkan in all of its night time glory! Gareth the friendly property manager met us at the service station and we followed him to the villa where we were not disappointed!!! Even at 1.30am we could see how beautiful the Villa and its "unintterfuped" views were.
The facilities at the Villa were excatly what we needed for the self catered holiday we had planned.
The villa's location was close to the bay of Kalkan (about a 3-5 minute drive) and with the use of our hire car we found what we needed easily. We were amazed at what we could get for our lira in terms of food and alcohol!
Most of our time was spent at the Villa around the pool area but we visited the Kalkan beach club a couple of times to take part in some of the water sports (Which were very well priced: 80 lira for 20 mins on a jet ski, 35 lira pp for water sofa and rings) and on our last day ventured to Gocek, which is well worth the visit! (A town with a beautiful marina on the way back to Dalaman from Kalkan)
Before going to Turkey most of us were not sure what to expect but I would definately consider visiting Kalkan and the Villa keros again. The Turkish people were very friendly and the town was quiet with a relaxing atmosphere.
“Beautiful villa with excellent pool and shady areas” The villa is everything it says it is, very comfortable and spacious. All rooms feel airy. Good location in Kalamar with lovely cafes very nearby. A bit of a walk to town but manageable and a taxi on the way back is easy and does not cost much. Kalamar Beach Club is great and the free lift back to the villa is a great bonus. The sea there is amazing and its easy to spend the day there.
“Relaxing stay in the sun” This is my fourth time back at the Villa, and everytime it is relaxing. I love just sitting by the pool reading either my book, or the great collection of books within the villa. Even in October the weather was still beautiful- at least 24 degrees. The town is only 10 minutes walk down the hill, with hundreds of restaurants to choose from. I can't wait to go back to soak up the sun.
“Beyond expectations” A superb villa with a view to kill and brilliant facilities. The infinity pool and jacuzzi were great places to sit and reflect. Kalkan is a great family location with plentiful restaurants and the friendliest people. A day on the boats is recommended with the Yildiz seemingly one of the real favourites. All in all - heartily recommended for families and we'll be back.
“Perfect” We stayed at Moonlight for two weeks in June with our two year old boy and had a lovely time. The villa is in good condition and the sun terrace and pool area are just right. The pool was warm with 3 umbrellas and an outside eating area we had plenty of options both in and out of the sun. It's handy to have the pool, terrace, lounge, kitchen on the same level unlike some other properties you see in Kalkan which are terraced. You can walk to Kalkan town through a short cut directly below the villa, it's steep, but a good option to walk into town in the evening and take a taxi (12tlr) back to the Villa after dinner. We hired a car via the owners and all went well, pick up and drop of at Dalaman airport. Other villa renters in the area tended to go for taxi's but our preference was to have our own transport with our 2 year old in tow. We haven't stayed put so much on a holiday in years - all credit to the Villa - but did get out to the local beaches which are a car ride away, and well worth it.There are a number of local supermarkets near by with butchers and green grocers in the town. Bring some DVDs if you have kids, wifi worked great and the local rep was friendly. We'll be back.
“Beautiful villa with fabulous views over the sea. Great location .” This was our first visit to Turkey and we only chose Kalkan due to a friends recommendation. It was the perfect choice for us and all that you read about an unspoilt village is true but there are plenty of things to do and lots of choices for bars and restaurants.
Memhet who manages this property for the owners is a very helpful guy and we took his recommendations to go on two boat trips. They were great and we all had two fabulous days.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we re-booked the villa for the same time next year whilst we were still on holiday.
“My best holiday ever!” Our extended family- grown up children etc- really enjoyed this holiday. The villa was perfect, stunning views over the bay, great weather, not too hot with a nice breeze (early June) .
The villa was very well equipped lots of plates and cutlery, a clear point of difference when the owner uses the villa.
We had a brilliant Turkish chef in one night pot cook for us and we had a fantastic day on a gulet sailing and swimming in various bays. Kalkan was very friendly, prices for eating out about the same as at home.
“Villa Gul - Kalkan in a nutshell” We stayed for two weeks. Villa Gul is ideally placed for getting into the old town (if a hard upward walk back - you can get a taxi though for 10 lire) The villa itself is very comfortable however we spent so much time by the lovely pool. Great views over the bay. Across the road is the weekly market and a supermarket is a matter of yards away. Kalkan is beautiful and a great place to eat with over 2 hundred restuarants. We visted Patara Beach, Kas, Kekova and Saklikent by having a car rental from the airport. There are tours to these and other places if you dont have a car. Recommend taking a boat out of Kekova for your own private tour and swimming in the sea included. The only slight downside is being so close to a main road but we found this an authentic part of the Turkish life. If you are going over take a look at the KAPSA website and consider helping the street animals.
“We had a wonderful stay a beautiful villa with stunning views” We stayed at Villa Sea Breeze with a group of friends and it was perfect. The villa is very tastefully decorated and well equipped to cater for all ages and to give everyone plenty of space. The views are amazing and you never tire of looking out at the bay from the infinity pool.
The bar, pool table and table tennis area was ideal to keep the adults and kids equally entertained.
One evening we booked a chef to come into the villa and cook for the group which was wonderful and I would thoroughly recommend this.
We hope we are able to return to Villa Sea Breeze as was one of our best holidays and the accommodation offering was superb a real home from home.
“A truly wonderful villa with breathtaking views over Kalkan” We first visited Kalkan and Villa Limon in October 2010. This was our first trip to Turkey and we could not have chosen better. Kalkan is a delightful little town with narrow streets leading down to the harbour. Villa Limon is a beautiful Villa set in an elevated position with breathtaking views over Kalkan. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned again in June of this year and were not disappointed. We feel very privilieged to have been able to stay in Villa Limon and hope to return again.
“superb accommodation ,wonderful location” A lovely villa with an unspoilt view over Kalkan bay.The villa is well equipped providing excellent accommodation. The pool provides a welcome escape from the heat as does the air conditioning when required.Kalkan is a great location and the selection of restaurants is excellent. If you prefer to self cater there are plenty of shops to cater for all tastes.Patara beach was a favourite but there are beach clubs nearby for those who prefer. We had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to returning in the near future
“Just Fabulous” Myself and my partner stayed here for a week in October. The villa is just fabulous, so tastefully decorated and very spacious, everything you need is here. The views from this villa are just beautiful, especially from the roof terrace, you are so close to the sea.
The maintenance staff were lovely and friendly, the villa pool and terrace areas were cleaned daily and we also had a mid-week internal clean.
You can walk down to the beach club within a couple of minutes and from here you can also take a boat taxi across to Kalkan town for an excellent choice of sea front and roof-top restaurants.
Very close to the villa (a five minute walk) will take you to the fantastic Villa Malhal hotel and restaurant. The setting and the food quality of this restaurant is without a doubt the best in Kalkan. Tim the villa owner recommended this restaurant and we are very glad he did. We went twice, the second time we were seated right on the sea front, it was superb. It is unlikely you will get a seat without a reservation so booking in advance is advisable.
Tim the owner could not have been more helpful, with great communication before, during and after our stay. A week was not long enough, it will be 2 weeks next year and would love to stay here again.
Many thanks Tim for a wonderful stay.
“Fantastic location, superb villa, lovely pool” First trip to Kalkan for myself and my husband, second time for our friends and we could not have picked a better villa or a better location. Perfect position for a short stroll to all the local restaurants & shops but private and quiet enough to escape. Amazing view from roof terrace, very high quality villa with quality fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings. Very clean. Gret pool and pool terrace. In-obtrusive poolman/gardener. Owners emailed oceans of information prior to departure and were very helpful, keeping us informed at every stage. WIll be returning!!
“Excellent find” First time in Turkey and we didn't know what to expect. We couldn't have been more pleased! Both the country and the people are lovely and KalKan is one of the nicest places we've been too - that is said after many years of visiting Greece which we also love.
As for Villa Bahce, the location is stunning. High on the hillside with fantastic views of the village and bays below.
The villa has everything - position, pool, roof terrace (many nights sat out there), spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, good facilities, cleanliness and regular friendly maid service.
It is naturally hilly round and about but the taxi service is excellent - quick and cheap.
The booking was straightforward and the owner couldn't have done more for us, helping with car hire, supplying local information and excellent directions.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Bahce
