“A brilliant family holiday and amazing villa” We had a fantastic time staying at Villa Iris. It was everything that Huw and Sharon promised it would be and more. The views are stunning, the villa is large, clean and really well presented. We have had a few villa holidays before and this was the best villa by far. The pool is where the kids spent most of their time and it is ideal for a family. Patara beach is amazing and one of the best we've ever been lucky enough to visit. It does get busy near the cafe during the day but later in the afternoon, or slightly away from the cafe, there is miles of space and shallow safe swimming. Kalkan itself is a wonderful town with over 200 restaurants. We ate mostly by the harbour where the views are lovely. We found every restaurant to be friendly and the food good.

“Amazing!!!” Villa Serenity is absolutely breathtaking. Each room is pristinely clean and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms all have massive glass picture windows that overlook the pool and jacuzzi and the amazing view of Kalkan. If i could have stayed forever i would have. I have visited a number of villas surrounding Kalkan and this surppased them all. A perfect holiday home.

“Ideally located in Kalkan” To an extent this apartment under sells one of its best features, its location. I had not appreciated how hilly Kalkan was until our stay. A 10min walk to the harbour turns into a 30 min return journey. Taxi cabs make a fortune ferrying people back to their apartments and Villas. This apartment has three banks, a super market and a gym within a very short distance from its door. When you need bottled water each day, the practicalities of this apartment are quickly realised. It has lovely views of Kalkan and the bay which are spectacular in both day and night. The sun terrace, the swiming pools and the friendliness of the neighbours made for a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. You will not go wrong with this apartment. My advice however would be if you are renting a hire car, make sure it is powerful enough for the hills of Kalkan. Do make sure also you visit Saklikent Gorge and do include a boat trip in your itinerary.

“Holiday heaven, did not won't to come home.” Beautiful villa, excellent views, It felt like being at home. We were so comfortable and relaxed. Having never experienced a villa holiday before I can quite honestly say I would be quite reluctant to go to a hotel again. We loved it so much we have booked it again for next year. Kalkan is a lovely town, restaurants galore and very friendly people. The villa is sited on a hill so you get a lovely breeze from the sea. The pool is gorgeous, the feeling of privacy is excellent. The villa has a lovely little landscaped garden and all mod cons, so staying in is just as nice as going out. Although we did not go afar, we did go to Patara beach just 15 mins away which was lovely. There are lots of excursions that are easily arranged by yourselves in the town itself. Local beach clubs are a short boat ride away. The transfer which the villa owner arranged for us was very reasonable, comfortable and on time on arrival and return. Kalkan and Villa Limon know how to take care of its guests!

“Amazing villa” We have just returned from this wonderful villa. It’s the fourth time we’ve visited Kalkan and this was the best accommodation we’ve stayed in by far. The outside space and pool were what particularly attracted me and these were a delight to enjoy throughout the day and evening; private, pretty , immaculately clean and comfortable. The balaconies next to every bedroom meant we could catch the last of the sun and spectacular views. Efficient communication and all the arrangements were spot on. Thank you.

“beautiful villa with helpful owner and property manager” Serenity 2 is a fantastic villa and perfect for what we were looking for. As a group of 10 friends looking for a relaxing Summer holiday in the sun, we couldn't have asked for more. From first getting in touch with the owner, she was incredibly helpful - sending over helpful information, arranging transfers and helping one of our party who was arriving separately. The villa itself is near perfect. The photos give a good representation of what to expect but really have to see it to appreciate it. I don't think I can add much more than what others have said here - it really is a great place to stay and it could often be hard to drag ourselves away and into town. Billy, the property manager in Kalkan was more than helpful. He really couldn't do enough to help us - bringing water, giving reccommendations and even giving us a lift in his car. Nothing was too much trouble and his help made a massive difference. The only real negative for some people could be the distance from town. It's a good 20 minute walk, even at a realtively brisk pace. With the villa being set quite a way up a hill, it'd take even longer to walk back up! We resorted to taxis every time - they're relatively inexpensive though so it's not too bad. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly reccommended and really good value too.

“Kalkan Holiday” In October 2015 we made our second visit to villa Nazli which has spacious family accommodation with a light and airy feel and every facility. The views over harbour and sea are superb,a real panorama!! A quiet and peaceful setting with a beautiful pool. The weather was hot and sunny and the evenings were in the low twenties. A trip to the local market is a must. For those who want to eat out there is plenty of choice at all prices. We are looking forward to going back to recharge our batteries Smith Family Worcestershire

“Amazing views, amazing apartment, amazing holiday” The apartment is very spacious and very well decorated. It has all the amenities required for a self catering holiday. The balcony is one of the largest in the building, and provides you with wonderful views of the sea and Kalkan town. A BBQ on the balcony is a welcome bonus! Also the ottoman style seating is perfect to relax in the evenings or for a break from the sun during the day. There are plenty of sunloungers by the pool, and the pool is never really busy. The apartment is located a 10 minute walk from the centre of Kalkan, or you can get a taxi there for about £5. I would recommend this apartment to all couples or families looking for a luxury, peaceful holiday. It's a gem!

“A beautiful villa in a stunning location” The villa is beautifully maintained, loved its simplicity but at the same time is very stylish. The pool area is just lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean. The Kisla area is wonderfully quiet but not remote. The water taxi to Kalkan was just perfect. We enjoyed this place so much that we have booked again for 2013. Kaputas beach was stunning and well worth visiting. The long journey from the airport is well worth it but if arriving at night it's best to arrange a taxi through the owner.

“fantastic weekend” I would say in brief that it is almost impossible to find an authentic place furnished with original abstracts in a user friendly way and fully equipped for staying needing nothing. Plus the garden full of lemon and orange trees, birds are singing and splendid cascade with two naturally formed pools (they called büvet). The place and cottages are gorgeous. It is ideal to leave behind your daily life and spend some time in this paradise. You would always wanted to come back. Be careful for addiction :)

“Bliss!” We arrived ready to recharge our batteries after a busy few months and our teenagers finishing GSCEs and A Levels to a beautiful, chic and well equipped villa. Villa Sea Breeze is furnished well, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The views were stunning and we enjoyed streaming chilled out music form the villas bose system to relax by the pool. The service from Ramazan and his wife was excellent. And the welcome pack was very welcome! There is a little shop at the end of the road for supplies which is handy. Suzanne arranged for our airport transfers which went really smoothly and also a visit from Kazim from Chefs at Home. He was just the nicest man and we watched while he cooked delicious meals and then went onto recreate his dishes at home! Such a great experience and good value that it really is a treat to experience this service. All the restaurants were superb with perhaps Baharat being our favourite this time. As well as chilling and eating we took a boat trip - Eylul - fantastic, and a fun quad bike afternoon. The shopping is good and we did manage to come back with bags and diamonds! Thanks to Class leather and Yardan Jewellery. To get to the town you do have to walk a steep hill. It was steeper than we expected (although the views from the villa are worth it ) that we did get a taxi back most evenings. A tip - don't bother to bring high heels! The villa has air-conditioning and shaded areas along with plenty of spaces to sit. Because there was only 4 of us we were spoilt for choice so we need to go back with friends! There is a table tennis table and pool table along with a playstation. We totally recommend this villa and thank Suzanne and Jon for their hospitality.

Antalya Province holidays

Antalya Province

Huge numbers of people used to pass through Antalya – it was known as the gateway to the Turkish Riviera – but, now it’s become a beautiful holiday destination in its own right.

With its unique blend of beaches and traditional Turkish culture, it's the perfect place to stay. Just find your holiday rental on Holiday Lettings and let your adventure begin.

About Antalya Province

At the core of Antalya lies the historic old city district of Kaleici. Explore the classically beautiful town and ancient Ottoman houses, then marvel at how it seamlessly blends with both the Roman-era harbour and modern districts.

This area is steeped in history. You'll find it around every corner. To get a better understanding, go to the famous Kaleici Museum.

Shielded from wind by the Taurus Mountains, Antalya benefits from the hot Mediterranean climate – so make sure you pack your sunscreen!

June, July and August are the hottest months, reaching an astounding 93.6F. So, if that sounds like too much for you, it’s probably best to head out around April or May.

While in Antalya, you should indulge in the native cuisine. Piyaz is one of our favourite dishes – it’s made from tahini, garlic, walnuts and boiled beans. Or, if you want a snack, grida is a good way to go – it's freshly caught fish!

What to do in Antalya Province

For all you culture and history lovers, there's plenty to see.

Antalya's past spans back to the Hellenistic period. The best way to see all the sites – including Hadrian's Gate and the Yivli Minare Mosque – is by taking a historic tour of the city.

If you get a bit tired after a day of sightseeing, head to one of the beautiful golden beaches and soak up the sun. But, if you're still raring to go, try the watersports on offer – the scuba diving is fantastic.

If you've brought the kids – or are just a kid at heart – head to the Beach Park. There's Aqua Land (with hundreds of waterslides to choose from) and Dolphin Land (where you can go see dolphins, sea lions and even white whales).

Still up for exploring? Try heading up to see the Düden Waterfalls. They're astonishing and a great photo op!

Top travel tips for Antalya Province

There are lots of festivals and events held in the city – see if you can catch one. The Antalya Festival is in September and is a great chance to see the locals celebrating their culture.

For a bit of fun, try the trams and light rail line. It's a great way to get around and you'll see the city in all its glory.

Enjoy the culture, the beaches and the natural beauty surrounding Antalya. It's one of the best holiday destinations in Turkey and is constantly developing and growing. Snap up your Holiday Lettings holiday rental today and make the most of this historic town.

6 Bedroom Family Villa With Seaview and Pool in Kalkan
A fabulous villa for a large group

11 of us stayed at Villa Bottecine (4 adults and 7 teenagers) for 10 nights and had a fabulous time. The villa was clean and spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The a/c worked well in all bedrooms and in the kitchen/living room, there was an abundance of space both inside and out and the swimming pool is a great size. The kitchen was well equipped and there is a good outside bbq which we used on a few occasions. There is plenty of dining space inside and out as well as plenty of lounging space. The owner visited early every morning to service the pool and empty the bin and also delivered swimming pool towels to us on the first morning. The WiFi worked well and there is a good sized TV which the teenagers used to watch Netflix on a quiet evening. The view from the outside terrace is beautiful. The villa is up a hill and it is a 20 to 25 walk into the centre of Kalkan but a taxi back up at the end of the evening was not expensive. Taxis were readily available from the town centre. We actually appreciated the distance from town and being up a hill because it was a little cooler and also helped us to keep our teenagers under control! There are a few local shops and a supermarket about 8 minutes down the hill which is handy. It’s a hot walk in August but really not a problem. A car is recommended for grocery shopping purposes and if you want to leave Kalkan. There is lots to do in the vicinity - we enjoyed Saklıkent Kanyon, Patara Beach and a boat trip to see the sunken city and swim. We had a lovely time in the villa. No one had any grumbles. There is nothing that we would change and we would thoroughly recommend it.see more

5 BEDROOMS VILLA ZEYTOUNA IN KALKAN/KIZILTAS
Fantastic stay at Villa Zeytouna

We stayed here for 7 days and I must admit I was worried after booking and reading recent reviews however we had a fantastic stay at Villa Zeytuna and didn't experience the problems that previous people had experienced. The two reviews do sound like they are from the same party and possibly were flushing toilet paper down the toilet, which you shouldn't do in Turkey. We previously stayed in a villa a few doors down in 2019. We love staying in this area as you can walk down the hill in to town if you fancy the walk, otherwise it's 60TL (£3) taxi in to town. You have great views overlooking the harbour and town, great for sunset drinks and dinner back at the villa. The pool wasn't clean when we arrived but it was sorted ASAP and even though it was our of action a few days we had the many beach clubs to visit as well as a boat trip to keep us occupied. All in all we had a great holiday.see more
