The Pembrokeshire region

Tucked away in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, in the little village of Landshipping, Waters Edge offers peace and tranquility with birds and views with glorious sunsets looking west across the River Cleddau.

A gate from the garden opens onto a shared mown footpath down to the waters edge.

Wake up to the call of the curlews, walk along the path to the foreshore and search for 'sea asparagus'

Watch wading birds fish (herons and egrets aplenty) and discover this ancient waterway with its numerous mysterious inlets bordered by ancient woodlands.

See The Big House close by - a star of the recent 'Renovation' television series.

Enjoy a visit to the peaceful waterside village of Lawrenny where you can walk along the riverside, sit and watch the boats go by, listen in to the birds and eat at the award winning Quayside Cafe.

Visit Narberth, a little old market town with castle, lots of interesting and individual shops, antiques, pubs, excellent Spanish/Welsh deli and old fashioned award winning butchers, and much more.

Don't miss a visit to Bosherston Lily Ponds (NT), St Govan's Head, S Govan's Chapel & the two stunning beaches of Broad Haven South & Barafundle. If surfing is for you, visit Manobier or Newgale beaches. Walk the Preselli Hills and enjoy an excellent homemade lunch at Nant y Coy Mill cafe. Tenby, Saundersfoot, St Davids, and the tiny old port of Porthgain to name a few are all within easy reach and each worth a day out.

"Absolutely Fabulous in every respect"

The cottage was the best we have stayed in so far, beautifully furnished, clean, comfortable & equipped with everything you could possibly need. Three lovely light bedrooms, shower room & bathroom which appeared newly fitted, very well equipped kitchen & cosy snug, in fact a home from home not a holiday home. And then of course there are the views, amazing! The location of the cottage is quite remote but so very peaceful & totally relaxing. The owners went out of their way to make us welcome & nothing was to much trouble. The best recommendation we can make is that we will definitely return.

"Everything you could want from a holiday home and location"

Where to start?! This cottage offers pure home from home. Everything has been thought of down to the welcome pack which is perfect after a long journey! As I write this, I am sat looking out towards the water with the log fire roaring away, is there a better way to spend a holiday afternoon?! The beds are very comfy, the towels are pure white & fluffy, the whole place is spotlessy clean, the views are stunning and the owners couldn't be more helpful. So nice to have a separate area to the lounge where you can sit and read. Our dog is very chilled out too! Outside caters for everyone too with a lovely patio area, sun loungers and garden games. Just a few mins walk and you're on the water front which is perfect for a morning walk. First time here and definitely will not be the last!

"Fantastic week away from it all"

Where to begin...? the incredible ever-changing views, the inviting living area, the soft fluffy towels, the thoughtful touches from the owner (even our dog was remembered!), the comfy beds? We had a fantastic week here and looked forward to coming "home" (because it felt like home - not a holiday property) after a cold and wet day out. There are a myriad of lovely walks from the doorstep and although we explored somewhere every day, we feel like we have only scratched the surface. We very rarely go back to a holiday destination but were already talking about booking here again next year in the car on the way home. A perfect place for any time of the year.

"fabulous views, very well equipped"

Fabulous estuary views, saw an otter from the sitting room, great birding. Very well equipped to a high standard Very friendly hosts Only negative: one of the roof tiles rattles in high winds!

I think we've sorted the rattley tile!! Thanks for telling us about it, but we didn't want to be too perfect!!
