About the home

Upon entering Serenity Villa, you are instantly presented with spectacular sea views framed in the large floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors. Serenity is luxuriously appointed throughout with a large, open planned, split level living area and modern, sleek, granite topped kitchen.

The contemporary, open plan living area opens out to the beautiful marble patio with large infinity pool and 10 person capacity Jacuzzi. Serenity is designed over 3 floors with air conditioning throughout and sea view balconies to each bedroom. Each bedroom is designed with luxurious en suite wet-room showers, additionally the master bedroom has a free-standing, contemporary bath overlooking both bays.

The open plan lounge contains 2 large L-shaped sofas, contemporary built in log burner and 40" LED television with satellite channels, Wii and DVD player plus Ipod/iPhone speaker dock. Sliding doors open out to pool area taking in the stunning, unobstructed sea views. WIFI is now also available throughout the villa.

The kitchen is superbly appointed with large black glass, fridge freezer, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, watercooler and gloss white units with black granite work surfaces. There is also a black granite topped dining table with six chairs. A wall of glass opens out to the raised patio area with an additional alfresco dining area making this the ideal villa for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying the stunning views.

There is also a utility area with washing machine and separate toilet.

Stairs from the kitchen lead up to the large, first floor bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 has twin beds which look out to the amazing sea views and a dressing area with built in wardrobes which leads to a sea view balcony. The room also includes an en suite wet-room area which houses a luxuriously appointed shower with modern fittings.

Bedroom 2 has a King sized bed with dressing table and built in wardrobes, 32" LCD TV and DVD. Floor to ceiling glass doors open out to a balcony with spectacular sea views and table and chairs. The bedroom is also appointed with a luxury en suite wet-room with rain-shower.

The whole of the top floor is dedicated to the split level, master bedroom suite. There is a large dressing area with built in wardrobes, modern super-king-size bed and a large, flat screen TV with DVD. Floor to ceiling glass walls and door lead out onto the large roof terrace. Marble stairs direct you up to the en suite bathroom and shower area.

The focal point is the contemporary, free-standing, designer bath which overlooks the whole of Kalkan and Kalamar and the breathtaking views. High quality, Egyptian cotton linens are included as well as towels for both bathroom and poolside.

Stepping outside Serenity you will be presented with the most amazing sea-views whilst still retaining your sense of seclusion in private grounds. Serenity also benefits from the highest quality, contemporary outdoor furniture including designer rattan sofa set with table, 6 rattan sun-loungers with deep cushions and umbrellas. There are sliding glass doors which bring the inside out, leading to a rattan dining table with 6 chairs for alfresco dining. A barbeque is also available for those of you who can resist the lure of the amazing dining experiences to be found in Kalkan.
There is a place for everyone so you can relax and find your own personal space to admire the views or unwind with a book.

Serenity is as luxuriously appointed outside as it is inside, having a fabulous marble patio area on two levels with a large infinity pool and 10 person capacity jacuzzi all with unobstructed views of the sea and islands. The perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. There is also an outdoor shower area and fully stocked gardens to 3 sides including beautiful climbing Bougainvillea, fruit trees and Mediterranean flowers.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and we now have free wi-fi available. There is a large, gated carport for one car as well as additional parking spaces outside the property. The villa has an external CCTV system. The pool and outside areas are cleaned daily with towels and linens changed twice weekly.
Kalamar beach club and the picturesque town of Kalkan are a short walk away.

Conditions

We shall require a non-returnable booking deposit of 25% of the total cost of the accommodation and the outstanding balance to be paid 8 weeks before the first day of your holiday. If, in the unlikely event of a cancellation, you prefer not to use the holiday cancellation insurance, deposits can be used to secure a future booking. We also require a £350 breakage and damages deposit, which will be returned subject to no breakages, damage or loss, within two weeks of the final day of the holiday. Flights are not included in the price of the villa.
Please be aware that due to the hilly nature of the area, there are a lot of steps and therefore the villa may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm. Also, please be reminded to watch children at all times, especially round the pool and near steps and balconies, they should never be left unattended. There is a NO SMOKING policy inside the villa.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Kalkan is a beautiful and sophisticated, bougainvillea covered harbour village set in the heart of the old Lycian region. It is cosmopolitan, with good quality restaurants and great places to stay. The Taurus Mountains – home to the nearby rural escape of Islamlar – provide a stunning backdrop, whilst the views across the bay are remarkable.

The ancient sites of Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Tlos and Patara are all close by, with Kekova, Demre, Myra, Phaselis, Olympos and Aspendos slightly further afield, but all easily accessible.

The Kalkan area

Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views; whether you are looking up to the dramatic mountains behind the town, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean – the view of which, we guarantee, will never tire you!
The standard of dining in Kalkan is a wonderful surprise.

There is a wide variation of Mediterranean and European cuisine offered in marina front and roof top restaurants. The food quality is exceptional and is widely praised on Tripadvisor.

Swimming and water sport opportunities abound. The town pebble beach has been carefully and attractively extended. There are also several beach clubs with fantastic facilities including free use of water-sports, refreshments, sunbeds and swimming platforms.

There are also stunning beaches in the immediate vicinity, with Patara Beach an obvious example.
Patara is a few minutes away by car or taxi, and is regularly featured as one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful and undiscovered beaches. At the entrance to Patara is an ancient area of ruins including amphitheatre in amazing condition.

Kaputas beach is a few minutes the opposite side of Kalkan. It is a beautiful sandy beach found at the foot of a ravine and is considered to be one of the most photographed beaches in Turkey.

Saklikent Gorge is a 20km-long canyon that is about 35 mins drive from Kalkan. It is a lovely place to come and while away your time, and for those with a more active frame of mind, it's an excellent place to indulge in outdoor pursuits including canoeing,hiking or rafting. You can easily get to Saklikent Gorge by car or local dolmus.

Restaurants,decked out with Turkish rugs,comfy cushions and shaded by fig trees,serve freshly caught trout for lunch or supper with beer, soft drinks or melon, cooled by the ice-cold waters off the mountains. Have a paddle in the waters and see how long you can stand in it with the ice cold water around your feet.

“This villa has the WOW Factor!!” Just returned from a fabulous stay at Serenity villa I-it is as gorgeous as it looks on all the photos and is truly 5*. Tracy, the owner was fantastic throughout the whole booking process, really kind and helpful-we were a mixed bunch arriving on different dates-Tracy arranged all the transfers for us. Brave tours (the transfer company) were great too-arrived very promptly, nice safe drivers and we were very impressed to be presented with cold water bottles and cold hand towels, as well as a welcome bottle of wine! The villa was big, modern and spotless and the welcome hamper was gratefully received. Billy, the property manager couldn't have been more helpful - providing us with a local mobile/sim card, arranging things for us and lending us a buggy for the youngest member of our party. Mustafa cleaned our pool and brought us fresh bread every day - again, gratefully received. We really enjoyed the walk down the hill to the town where there are so many fabulous traditional restaurants, you could eat at a different one every day of the year! It's hard to name a favourite but the olive tree garden rooftop and lipsos are both worth a visit-would highly recommend the 'lamb on a tile'-delicious! the walk back to the villa was very 'doable' too, and nice to be able to walk the calories off! We all came back much fitter and healthier, although local taxis are readily available. All in all a fantastic holiday - would definitely go back. Managed to take a peek at Serenity II whilst we were there-now that is truly fabulous...

“Fantastic villa, fabulous location and the area was superb - all good” The villa is superb with amazing views. It is very well equipped and truly luxurious. We found the area had plenty to do with trips and beach clubs as well as spending time by the villa pool. Something for everyone.

“Amazing!!!” Villa Serenity is absolutely breathtaking. Each room is pristinely clean and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms all have massive glass picture windows that overlook the pool and jacuzzi and the amazing view of Kalkan. If i could have stayed forever i would have. I have visited a number of villas surrounding Kalkan and this surppased them all. A perfect holiday home.

“Beyond expectations” A superb villa with a view to kill and brilliant facilities. The infinity pool and jacuzzi were great places to sit and reflect. Kalkan is a great family location with plentiful restaurants and the friendliest people. A day on the boats is recommended with the Yildiz seemingly one of the real favourites. All in all - heartily recommended for families and we'll be back.

“Fantastic - everything you want from a villa!” The villa is exactly as it states in the literature. The views are amazing and the villa itself is fitted out to a very high spec the pool is just beautiful. We could not fault it at all we had a wonderful and very relaxing time - its the only place I've ever sat in the bath and had such an unbelievable view! The owners were very helpful and accommodating and organised. The transfers to and from the airport were excellent and very comfortable and the car we rented great although you must be able to do hill starts! Kalkan itself is a great place as well, relatively unspoilt by touism and great restaurants, we particularly liked Doy Doy and Salt & Pepper. We can't wait to go back!

“marvellous locatiom, total relaxation” It was a perfect location with beautiful views. Accommodation was luxurious, immaculate. Comprising of everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Help was always available whenever needed. Two beautiful clear pools with idyllic views, cleaned daily. There was an ideal selection of sports equipment at hand for use. It was reassuring to know throughout the stay that any queries could be answered.

“Luxurious holiday villa with amazing views over Kalkan bay” Wonderful relaxing holiday in a most luxurious villa situated overlooking the Kalkan bay coastline in an extremely desirable part of Turkey. The villa itself and the interior furnishings were of extremely high quality standard. Very clean,modern and obviously well maintained. To lounge in the pool or lay back in the jacuzzi with views of the sea was amazing. All the trappings of a sophisticated holiday. The villa is named "Serenity" and it lived upto its name. Place to revisit without doubt.

“Wow! What a Villa......” We booked this villa as a one week getaway leaving 2 days after we got married, and I think it's fair to say we were as excited about the villa as we were the wedding, and it didn't disappoint. It was an easy process to make the booking, with quick, informative and friendly responses from the owners. Who helped us by booking transfers with a large reputable company and car rental that was included with the villa. We were picked up as arranged, and took the 2hr transfer (allowing for traffic) by minibus to the resort of Kalkan. We were met as we arrived by Tamer, the property manager, who handed over the key and showed us around the villa. The property has 2 rooms on the first floor, one a twin and one double, each with their own stylish bathroom and balcony. All towels for the bathroom and for sunbathing were provided which was a great bonus. Each room also had air-con fitted, each with it's own remote - so each room can be controlled as you wish. The Master bedroom, well you have never seen anything like it. Glass panelled floor-to-ceiling to the front with a wrap around balcony giving views down the hillside over the town of Kalkan and out to sea. A dressing area, with plenty of storage, a huge comfortable bed and of course another air-con remote. Then you have the most lavish bathroom I have ever seen. Unfortunatly I don't have a photo to attach, but a free standing huge bath tub placed in the middle of room with views that trully are stunning. The kicthen and lounge area are open plan and very modern and comfortable with everything you need whilst away. We were visited early morning each day with fresh bread delivered and the pool area cleaned. Tamer also called by once or twice just to check all was ok, and was only ever a phone call away 24hrs a day. The Villa is located at the top of a hill, and as such would not be suitable for older or the less mobile, but then there is a car to overcome this. The hill is steep, but we walked up and down the hill in the middle of the day down to the Elixir hotel, which took around 10 mins to get down, the town of Kalkan is probably another 10 mins away. A taxi to the town costs around 10TL (£4) Having been to many different resorts in Turkey, Kalkan is far more traditional, and low key than places like Bodrum and Maramaris. The town is set around the harbour with a small beach on the front, then several streets containing lots of restaurants and shops. We had some fantastic meals in Kalkan. On renting the villa, the owners provide a list of these. Yes I have ticked everybox as great, but please dont think I haven't thought about it, this villa really is that good. If you are considering renting this villa, I would have no hesitation in recommending it, you won't want to leave!

“OMG i've died and gone to Villa heaven” Once you arrive at Serenity villa you will not want to stay anywhere else.the views are simply Amazing and cannot be beaten in my opinion.the staff are all very helpful and polite.the villa its self is spacious and extremely clean.the pool is exceptionally large and the jacuzzi is simply gorgeous.this villa is so lovely that we are returning in September.
