Nestled within glorious countryside and bordering on to an area of outstanding natural beauty, you will find beautiful, cosy, rustic Pound Cottage situated within the edge of stunning Dartmoor National Park. The cottage is perfect for those just wishing to escape the hustle and bustle and get back to nature away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, it is the perfect location to recharge your batteries.

The gardens wrap around the cottage making sure the sun hits every aspect of it at as it moves around, from early morning sunrises to stunning sunsets Pound Cottage offers it all.

The house is close to the A38 which is great for easy access, however you will hear it in the Garden or if the bedroom windows are open for example.

From the front door literally on your doorstep stunning walks can be found and after a day of walking or sightseeing there is the luxury of a hot tub spa pool to wind down in with a glass of wine at the end of the day.

For those with dogs Pound Cottage welcomes well behaved dogs and we are sure they will have a super holiday with the gardens and an abundance of countryside walks to explore.

There are some commons sense conditions to having dogs at the Cottage, please message Adam for details of these prior to booking.

Devon also offers some truly magnificent beaches, Salcombe and Bigbury are within a short car drive from the cottage with Torquay and its stunning Jurassic coastline and bustling town centre just 25 minutes drive away.

Pound Cottage is an attractive 3 bedroom stone-faced house with a modern cottage feel. The accommodation has a traditional layout and a double gas cooker in the kitchen-dining with mains gas central heating.

Many rooms have outlooks to the green hills that surround the town of Buckfastleigh whilst others take-in the garden. A gated driveway provides driveway parking for cars and gives access to the garage/store which forms an integral part of the building with a door to the utility room.

The gardens are larger than average and for the most part lawned and interspersed with numerous shrubs and a small orchard. The cottage sleeps 8 across 2 good sized bedrooms (1 ensuite) and a double bunk room, and consists of entrance porch, fully equipped kitchen-dining room, utility room, WC, living room, conservatory, wet room and beautiful gardens surrounding the cottage.

Perfect location to explore South Devon, located close to Dartmoor, 25 mins to the closest beach and just down the road from several of the best family days out in Devon including the South Devon Railway, Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary, Buckfast Butterfly Farm, Rare Breeds Farm and Petting Zoo, award winning Pennywell Farm, Buckfast Abbey, River Dart Country Park, Dart Rock climbing centre, river Dart Kayaking and access to great caving for those who like exploring underground.
