Hendre Wen is a very clean, warm and well equipped detached 3 bedroom detached cottage that sleeps up to 5 people. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of Betws y Coed village centre but only a quick 5 minute walk away from its shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor centre.

This comfortable self catering cottage has off-road parking for 2 vehicles and mains gas central heating. Bed line and towels are provided. New additions for 2024 include new comfortable pocket sprung beds and a new router offering fast and reliable Wi-Fi (50-60Mbps).

We have discounted prices for Spring 2024 so guests can try these improved facilities. We are sure you will not be disappointed.

The property (no smoking/pets) has a modern fitted kitchen with washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining area which has a dining table for 5 together with small sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV. There is also a bookcase with a selection of maps, books, games and plenty of information on local attractions. The new router here offers high speed Wi-Fi/internet (average 60-70 Mbps). The lounge has a second TV and DVD player and central fireplace. There is also a convenient ground floor bathroom with wc and washbasin.

Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms together with the main bathroom with bath and shower. There is a large bedroom with king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. A second bedroom offers 2 single beds which can be made into a super king-sized bed upon request. Finally, there is also a smaller bedroom with one single bed.

The cottage is a relaxing place located in the picturesque village of Betws y Coed which is a central base for exploring Snowdonia, the coast and much of the rest of North Wales. Betws y Coed's central location in North Wales means it’s only a half hour drive to lots of places including Llandudno, Anglesey and Porthmadog.

As a local, I’m happy to advise on local attractions, places of cultural significance and also recommend some of the best places for walks and natural scenery. Numerous walks can be made from the cottage itself including walking trails within Gwydir Forest Park, Miners Bridge gorge and local lakes with viewpoints towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Local attractions include Zipworld adventure activities and Swallow falls.

    How do damage deposits work?
