Perfect spot for exploring Ortigia

We spent a week in apartment Cirico in April. (Myself, my husband and my 17 month old daughter). It was a great spot from which to explore Ortigia particularly with a little toddly person. It was easy to walk up to Piazza del Duomo and to the nearby bakery where we breakfasted on delicious croissants. Our daughter loved exploring the area and the fact that it was so compact and yet there was lots to see and loads of tasty food worked great. Our daughter loved the little courtyard in the apartment and there was loads to keep her entertained. And it was well appointed for cooking and hanging out in the evening when we weren't out and about. Luca, who looked after the apartment was very helpful and friendly with loads of good advice about places to stay. I feel very sheepish about only posting this now - things have been so busy but I wanted to post the review for him as he did such a great job. … see more

The most amazing apartment in the perfect location

My family stayed in this apartment for a few days in Jan and it was just perfect. Two loft bedrooms plus a master bathroom with more than ample space. Very workable kitchen and laundry. The location is on a quiet street at the end of the island of Ortegia. Walkable to every site and great food. We even found a market so we could enjoy all of the fresh produce. Ideal base from which to explore an interesting region of Sicily

A five night stay, travelling by hire car (essential). Siracusa not far away, amazing market at Ortigia. Lived mainly on seafood, and enjoyed our independence and the self-catering facilities of the apartment. Comfortable and compact; ideal for two people. Really enjoyed our visit; did lots of driving to many different places, eg: Noto. Found driving ok once I adopted the Sicilian style! Will hopefully be able to return sometime!! We had a very pleasant stay at the Miramare appartment. The location was very good in the heart of Ortiga, the old city of Syracusa. The area was quiet, and nice resturants just around the corner (Kamel we enjoyed a lot).
