Perfect for families and larger groups, Woodside is a character brick and flint detached cottage situated in the North Norfolk coastal village of Weybourne, 2 miles from Sheringham, 4 miles from the Georgian market town of Holt and 6 miles from Blakeney.
The cottage comfortably sleeps 8 over 4 bedrooms (2 x King and 2 x Twin), with 2 bathrooms, 3 reception rooms, games room, a large modern eat-in kitchen and downstairs cloakroom and utility. It is fully equipped for babies and small children, with high chair, toddler chair, travel cot, bath seat, toilet seat, potty and steriliser.
The cottage has a landscaped garden with good sized lawn, modern garden furniture and BBQ, as well as offroad parking for 3 cars.
The village of Weybourne boasts a wonderful pub, the Ship Inn, and a local shop and deli, the Village Store. The beach is less than 1/2 a mile walk away. Weybourne also boasts a station for the delightful North Norfolk railway (the 'Poppy Line'), along with Weybourne Priory and All Saints Church.
The village is surrounded by fields, woodland and heathland. The area is excellent for walking and cycling.
Nearby, the Georgian market town of Holt is 4 miles, Blakeney Quay is 6 miles, Holkham Hall and Holkham beach are 15 miles away. The seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer are 3 and 6 miles respectively.
The National Trust properties of Felbrigg and Blicking Halls offer much to do and see, whilst the pretty gardens and space of Sheringham Park offer a great day out. Royal Sandringham House and Gardens are 30 miles. The city of Norwich, 30 miles, with its cathedral, castle museum, excellent shopping malls, market square, theatre, fine dining, cafés and pubs. The famous Norfolk Broads are 25 miles, great for exploring by boat, with daily river trips and day boats available as well as riverside cafés, restaurants and shops.

We had a wonderful time, the house was beautiful and very well equipped, some lovely finishing touches and a beautiful log burner that we lit one cold and windy night, bliss! I would definitely recommend this place and given the opportunity would love to revisit!
“Something for Everyone”
We visited as a couple in our 60s and, for part of the time, with young family. The house is extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with lots of books, information leaflets etc. and with an attractive and sheltered garden. We didn't need the woodburning stove as the weather was good, but I would imagine its a great addition for the cooler evenings (lots of logs) When our young and very young family members joined us, the house, garden and its facilities proved more than adequate. There is a good general store/coffee shop/post office/delicatessen in the village and we enjoyed good food at the busy local pub. The expansive local beach (mostly sand) is a short walk away and, of course, there are many other attractions for children and adults along that coast. The village itself is good for, say, a wander in the evenings As a couple we enjoyed the long easy walks along sections of the coastline such as The Peddars Way coastal nature path and particularly appreciated the ample wildlife and birdlife There is a coastal bus that runs through Weybourne village (don't forget your bus pass!) which we used to hop on and off at various places such as Wells next the Sea. Taking the car, venues such as the Blickling Estate and Sheringham Park are soon reached Took a super picture of the steam train passing below us from our high point at Sheringham. (Remember your National Trust cards). We look forward to visiting again to see some of the many attractions we missed.
“A lovely North Norfolk Cottage”
I booked this property at short notice; the owner was extremely helpful in making it available and getting back with responses to queries. The cottage is located just off the A148, which may get busy in the summer , but was fine at the time of year we visited. I think we were only the third or fourth set of guests to stay there; it had the faint aura of paint about the place. It has a really well equipped kitchen with a good sized oven and the table will sit 8 comfortably. We had guests round and managed to squeeze in 12. It's got a compact games room. We made use of the pool table and found it easy to convert into a mini table tennis table. The larger lounge has a good sized TV and the smaller lounge has an x-box to keep the younger generation happy. The bedrooms are all decently sized; just take care on the way up and down the stairs-mind your head if you are tall. The two bathrooms (one en-suite) are well laid out. There are plenty of games and a wide selection of books to read, in case the weather keeps you indoors. It's well located for a number of walks around the area, including a coastal walk to Sheringham, or out onto Blakeney Spit, if you fancy more of a challenge. Weybourne beach is about a ten minute stroll away. It's a big shingle bar with sand at lower tides. There's a nice village store about 150 yards back into the centre of the village, and the Ship Inn has good food, if you fancy a change from eating in. Holt, Sheringham, Cromer, Blakeney are just some of the many towns and villages worth a visit in this part of the world, and do take a trip on the North Norfolk Railway. I'd recommend this property to any of my friends.
