Gorgeous, newly renovated Villa Madu is a secluded tropical paradise, on over 5000 sq meters (an acre) of fern gardens, frangipani trees, and jungle, yet only 5 minutes walk to the main street in Ubud. A beautiful setting for a group retreat, family reunion, anniversary celebration, or an intimate wedding.

Rental of either side includes scheduled use of our yogashala/movie hall/ banquet room, located on the north end of the property. There is separate access so while there may be others using the space, each side has complete privacy so no one will be passing through to get there. This would offer an ideal space for meetings, training, yoga, or banquets and other functions.

You may decide to put away your phones and computers and just relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, but whenever you need it, we have WIFI, which is unlimited and available throughout the property, and is included at no extra charge.

*Our Friendly Staff of 11 is here to make your stay as pleasant and luxurious as possible.

With advance notice our cook can prepare outstanding local or international cuisine for you if you want to eat at home. She uses locally grown, organic produce whenever possible, and depending on the season some of it comes from our own on-site gardens. She is equally talented with vegetarian or non-vegetarian selections, and can accommodate your dietary requirements. Indonesian, Thai or Indian cooking classes in our large, fully equipped kitchen can be arranged.

*Central Ubud is just minutes away, and offers your choice of many world class cafes and restaurants. Most of them will deliver if you want to stay home.

*If you feel the need to work out after one of our sumptuous breakfasts, the popular Ubud Fitness Center is only 100 meters away and offers a full-service air-conditioned gym and racquetball court.

Local Indonesian vegetarian is the least expensive, and items with expensive meats or seafood and imported ingredients like olive oil or cheeses will cost more. Our crew offers delicious vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes from many cuisines, including Indonesian, Balinese, Thai, Italian, Indian, Mexican, Middle Eastern and Western. Served family style, all of our meals always include vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free selections. We can accommodate most dietary preferences, requirements and allergies. In general, dinners run about USD$8-$12 NET per person, including Bali coffee, tea, drinking water and dessert.

How do damage deposits work?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Riana (the owner) a message.

If Riana (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
