“A delightful and memorable experience” Early in September I had the pleasure of spending 5 nights in Jepun, one of the villas at Devi's Place. Jepun was very comfortable, with everything to make for a wonderful stay and overlooks glorious natural scenery...rice paddies, ducks wandering all over their allotted territory, people working their land. I was amazed how cool the accommodation was, as a breeze continually flows from the open rice paddies and I only used the air conditioning at night to ensure constant temperature. Loved the saltwater pool which was few steps from the Villa, but layout of grounds (which were beautiful and very well maintained) ensured privacy at Jepun. Janny, the owner, was a gracious host and I enjoyed our conversations. The staff, each and every one, are absolutely delightful...always a smile. I shall return to this bit of paradise.
“Charming and spacious homes with great service” I found the Garden Cottages very comfortable. I’ve stayed in two of them. The larger two bedroom offers more (privacy, an extra bedroom, a dining table) whereas the one bedroom is a little more modern and fronts the pool. The differences are small as I found both comfortable. The location is perfect, a quiet residential-ish street yet only a 10 min walk to Jl Raya Ubud. The gardens are Bali beautiful. The staff is everything I want: helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive.
“Just what the DR ordered...” Devis place was just what the DR ordered. Accommodation where you feel the tension melt away and have the warm hospitality of the owner and the staff. There is no problem too big or small and they go out of your way to ensure you have the best stay in Ubud Bali. I was on my own and stayed in the Lotus cottage, it had an amazing outside shower little terrace of which i did yoga on each morning and the pool has a lovely view out of to the rice paddys. Its not far at all from town and you can rent scooters at Devis for very cheap giving you the freedom to explore as and when you need. I hardly left most evenings wanting to just chill in my own oasis and the home cooking done here was superb!
