“Profoundly Serenic” As a family of 6, with 3 generations from Mexico & UK, we stayed in Varja for 3 days from the 4th-7th February 2014. Having seen photos on the internet we knew we had chosen an extremely beautiful place, however on arrival we were simply spellbound by everything, and were continually amazed with the everything Varja contained: The actual home & amenities, all the staff (such professional, helpful, angels who were never intrusive and always available to provide for us); the impecably clean rooms; a resourceful study, with a magical view of the gardens from the desk (should we have chosen to work or use it to its potential); the outdoor bathrooms a real, fresh taste of the Tropics; the gardens so inviting and so lush, with fantastic walks easily followed by all ages and interests; the meditation patio simply perfect (all of us - from the 60+ to the 6 year old all were inspired to meditate)! The food was 5 star standard with generous portions and extremely fair prices. We chose to eat moreso at the house for we were so impressed with the range of menu, the magical settings of the tables (the napkins being origamied into different shapes each meal were such a lovely touch, which the children were very impressed with)! The pool and jacuzzis (one in the master bedroom) were fabulous - the onlooking Buddahs around the living area were a classy, spritual touch. Transport was readily avaiable and activities in Ubud were well advised; communication bewteen us, staff & businesses was perfect, all requests (including dietry requests) were met. It was ideal to be away from the hubbub of Ubud - minutes away yet tucked superbly away from any noise. Coming home after a busy day out was heaven- melting into paradise each moment at the house. There is no "best" or "worst", as our whole experience was simply magical - thankyou to all who made our stay one of the most memorable and serene holiday we have ever experienced!

“Relaxing and sublime!” Wonderful personal service, but a sense of freedom. You never felt encroached upon. Fantastic pool with recyclable water which keeps the water so cool and fresh! A cute walk down a rice paddy pathway to the front gate, and so close to the sites of Ubud. Awesome.

“Spacious, private luxury villa” We were slightly alarmed as the car driving us to the villa got further away from Ubud town and restaurants and we realised we wouldn't be within walking distance of dining venues. However this was the only downside. The villa proved to be gorgeous, very roomy with a beautiful garden and temple, and generous sized pool. Transport in to town and back for the usual low cost that is typical Bali was easy to arrange through the on site staff. Fruit and omelettes and toast served daily for breakfast was perfect. Two days however, was two little. Needed another day or two at least to really unwind and relax.
