Pleasant walkways connect Payogan to the center of Ubud (a 5-minute drive on the road, or a 30-minute walk through the Bangkiang Sidem ricefields, hills and river-valleys). The areas of Keliki and Sebali further north have quiet tar-sealed country roads ideal for exploring on bicycle. The amenities of Ubud, such as restaurants, tennis courts, shopping centers, etc are nearby. Hairdressers, masseurs and yoga or tai chi instructors are available on call to come to the villa. Whether you have come to Ubud to write your novel, rest with your family, or play host to passing friends, the team at Villa Naga will gladly help you feel at home.

Further details indoors

Each of the two bedrooms have a spacious en-suite indoor/outdoor bathroom with showers and bath tubs ideal to enjoy the tropical climate. The house is designed by Dutch architect Joost van Grieken to have ample water features and cross-flow breezes for passive cooling. As such, the house remains cool all-year round despite not having air conditioning.

Further details outdoors

The house has several large wooden decks for sunbathing, with day-canopies that come up in a flash when you need them. Besides the very efficient charcoal BBQ, there are two large earth ovens in the garden terrace used when catering for large numbers.

“Heaven”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2015

The house is so spacious. The pool is magnificent - you can still do your laps and stay fit (whilst probably overindulging in Bintang and gado-gado). Beautiful, tastefully decorated bedrooms - the artwork was fascinating. I can't recommend this home enough. 6 stars.

“Oasis of calm and comfort.................”

Not my first visit, as it gets better each time. The aesthetics refined, the food sublime and the staff attentiive without being intrusive, could not ask for more. Jivi Sethi

We love return guests at Villa Naga, and look forward to hosting you again on your next visit to Bali.
