“Harvest Moon - a dream come true” Even thinking about Harvest Moon now, a few months after my stay, brings a smile to my face and this dreamy look in my eyes. This amazingg house is exactly as gorgeous as it looks. Even better in real life I would say. It's beautifully designed, with so much eye for detail, you can feel the love. The location has unobstructed views over the rice fields, the open air shower warped me straight into a tropical movie scene, and the beds are big and lush (please promise me to sleep in the outdoor bed at least one night!). Besides all the beauty, it is really the atmosphere that made me deeply relax; Harvest Moon is tucked away in a quiet part of Ubud and has this special quality that just makes you sigh a sigh of relief, wind down and get comfortable with a much slower pace of life. Russell is as lovely a host as they come; he has compiled a whole book on where to go and what to see (and where to eat!), is at your service with tips and makes you feel at home, away from home. If you stay in Ubud, stay in Harvest Moon. It is literally a dream come true.

Wonderful villa and amazing staff
We stayed 4 nights at Villa Padi Menari and wish we will be back some day! The villa is wonderful, very clean, with a lovely swimming pool and bbq, and very nice view over rice fields. Me and my friends really enjoyed our time here. It is well located as close to Tegallalang rice terraces and to Ubud city center. Putu and the rest of the villa staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. I could only recommend!!! …

The perfect Ubud hideaway!
I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about Villa Gusku. Suma and Dewi were the most wonderful hosts who made our stay absolutely perfect. We were collected from our fast boat in a spacious, comfortable car and made to feel at ease immediately. We had recently got engaged on the Gili Islands and had mentioned so during a chat en route to the villa. Somehow, Suma managed to relay this information back to his wife and we arrived to a gorgeous cake with 'Congratulations!' written across it. So thoughtful and really set the tone for the lengths that they will go to ensure your stay is the best it can possibly be!
The villa itself is beautiful - nicely decorated, plenty of space, ridiculously comfortable beds (I slept better here than in my own bed at home!), air conditioning, AMAZING pool, lovely outdoor seating to enjoy breakfasts/meals, lovely shower, great views of the rice fields (we even saw fireflies at night)... The list goes on. Suma and Dewi were there promptly every morning cooking us a beautiful breakfast and gave us some great recommendations of where to visit/eat, even securing us a booking at a restaurant which appeared fully booked and with a great table!
To us, the villa was perfectly located. Just outside the centre of Ubud it was quiet and peaceful, whilst being mere minutes away by scooter as you only have to travel down one of the main roads to get there. My navigation skills are not the best but it was so easy to find our way around. The location really does provide the best of both worlds! We couldn't have enjoyed our stay in Ubud any more and it truly was the perfect end to our Bali trip. Villa Gusku is a must if you are staying in Ubud. It was our 25th Anniversary and my husband's first trip to Bali. If you are looking for a quiet and restful place then this is the place for you. Made, his staff and family are Fabulous!!! always available for your needs and most hospitable. The Villa was serviced every day and having someone come in every morning and cook your breakfast was a bonus :) You also had 4 choices of breakfast to choose from. There is such a tranquil and peaceful feel to this Villa. We will definitely be visiting this Villa again and we are going to miss Made and his gorgeous nature and smile very much. You also have a choice of private tours that Made will take you on and there is also a service to have private massages at the Villa. We all loved this villa. Guru was more than helpful from the time we booked. The villa is slightly outside the town, but Guru and the staff provide complementary transfers and a phone to contact them to arrange return. Guru will help with transport to and from the airport. The villa is stunning, it is tastefully furnished with a great infinity pool overlooking lush vegetation. The villa is run by a local cooperative providing employment for people in the village.
