Gianyar Regency Holidays & City Breaks - Holiday Lettings
“Harvest Moon - a dream come true” Even thinking about Harvest Moon now, a few months after my stay, brings a smile to my face and this dreamy look in my eyes. This amazingg house is exactly as gorgeous as it looks. Even better in real life I would say. It's beautifully designed, with so much eye for detail, you can feel the love. The location has unobstructed views over the rice fields, the open air shower warped me straight into a tropical movie scene, and the beds are big and lush (please promise me to sleep in the outdoor bed at least one night!). Besides all the beauty, it is really the atmosphere that made me deeply relax; Harvest Moon is tucked away in a quiet part of Ubud and has this special quality that just makes you sigh a sigh of relief, wind down and get comfortable with a much slower pace of life. Russell is as lovely a host as they come; he has compiled a whole book on where to go and what to see (and where to eat!), is at your service with tips and makes you feel at home, away from home. If you stay in Ubud, stay in Harvest Moon. It is literally a dream come true.
“Perfect hideway in the heart of Ubud” We stayed at the Villa On Bisma for 8 days in the first week of March. We would have loved to have stayed longer. It's a perfect little paradise hidden behind a very cool cofee shop. The Villa is two stories and the top deck delivers lovely views across the rooftops of Ubud and the trees and the ever changing skies. Perfect for our sunset drinks before heading out for dinner. This is a fantastic spot for those who want to walk out and explore the shops, cafes, and galleries of Ubud on foot. All within an easy stroll from the bottom of Bisma street. Then head back and fall into the plunge pool to cool off before a coffee or a Bingtang. The actual villa is down a little side path from the coffee shop. You can sit in the coffee shop and watch the world go by, or pass the time while waiting to be picked up to be taken on an adventure. We went white water rafting- highly recommended! Did a cycling tour and a trip to Sanur and the beach amongst other things. The Villa On Bisma is run by Kath and Wayan Sudarta who live next door. They were so helpful and easy going, assisting us with booking activites and providing information. It was all very easy and relaxed. The staff at the coffee shop were terrific, efficient and very friendly. They delivered us breakfast to the Villa in the morning and kept the place immaculate. So if you like to be close to the centre of things but also want a little piece of peaceful paradise then we happily, highly recommend Villa On Bisma.
“Beautifully appointed Villa in Central Ubud” The property is beautifully appointed, minutes to the centre of Ubud and at the same time gloriously isolated amongst lush forest. We loved our stay here and would come back without any hesitation.
The owner Paul was very helpful making arrangements and responsive to email requests - he was a pleasure to deal with, as were the staff at the villa.
Daily included breakfasts, cooked by the house manager Pasek and Kadek, were fantastic. Pasek's wife also cooked an amazing traditional dinner for an additional cost, but it was well worth it.
The three bedroom areas, each with bathroom, are in separate self contained buildings. Hot water for showers doesn't last very long and there are a lot of stairs to negotiate to get around the property, neither of which bothered us, but they may be factors worth considering if you are traveling with anyone with mobility issues or who can't live without long showers.
The pool was pristine and offered refreshing respite from the heat of the day.
All in all a fabulous villa that will allow guests a peaceful escape and a place from which to explore Ubud easily.
“Delightful and delovely!” Four of us (two couples - middle years!) stayed here for four nights and we absolutely loved it. Clean, comfortable, well cared for, quiet and private with just about everything you could wish for, including pegs for the washing line and a multi-lingual bookshelf! Lovely to have the houseboy come in each morning with fresh fruit, freshly baked bread (still warm!) and eggs for breakfast but also lovely to cook for ourselves. Handy for Ubud centre but plenty of places (shops, cafes etc) close by too. Loved it and can't wait to go back.
“Best ever!!!” Been to Bali many times but this beats it all,it´s FaB!!!
Suzan, the owner, is great and can´t do enough to make you feel at home, fix trips and will def walk the extra mile for you.
The location is literally in the rice fields serenaded by the frogs and crickets at night and the ducks is alarm clock in the morning.
The house and rooms is absolutely beautiful and every detail is thought through and now to the food, it´s absolutly the best Balinese food I´ve ever had, organic and much from their own garden, thank you Putri!!!
So all in all, if you want a special and different vacation stay at Swallow!!!
Thank you so much Suzan, I will def come back :-)
