We will hand you the keys upon your arrival. There is staff to cook for you and clean daily. Breakfast is included in the price. If you require assistance - you can ring the bell. You may join in village activities if you wish. Made can arrange tours and transport for wherever you would like to go. Just let him know and he can organise for you to visit places or shop, or just go out to dinner. You may have as much privacy as you like. We are ready to make your holiday whatever you would like to be.

“Amazing Experience!!!”

It was our 25th Anniversary and my husband's first trip to Bali. If you are looking for a quiet and restful place then this is the place for you. Made, his staff and family are Fabulous!!! always available for your needs and most hospitable. The Villa was serviced every day and having someone come in every morning and cook your breakfast was a bonus :) You also had 4 choices of breakfast to choose from. There is such a tranquil and peaceful feel to this Villa. We will definitely be visiting this Villa again and we are going to miss Made and his gorgeous nature and smile very much. You also have a choice of private tours that Made will take you on and there is also a service to have private massages at the Villa. Do yourself a favour and don't miss out on this gem of holiday, you will not regret it!! Thank you Made we had a WONDERFUL time.

Merta house is an amazing villa set out in the jungle about 20 minutes from Ubud centre. If you are wanting to get away from touristy/busyness and experience real Balinese culture and people this is where you want to be! Pretty much as soon as we arrived we extended for the next three nights. De Ada and the lovely team at Merta House went absolutely above and beyond to make this experience unforgettable. They welcomed us into the village and his family as 'honorary members’, taught us about family and village life, and were just so friendly and generous. They even brought us fresh coconuts because I was pregnant, as this is the custom in Bali because they are full of good nutrients for the baby. The villa itself is paradise. Much of the furniture was built by many of the craftsmen in the village, or pieces were sourced from various carving villages nearby. The villa was spotlessly clean and it was serviced every day, the bed huge and comfortable, and the garden with pool just magical. You could spend an entire week resting here, sun baking and reading the books from the library or listening to the music on the indoor/outdoor system. Food was delivered right to the door which we could order from the staff, or you can cook in the kitchen there. Breakfast every day was great too, lovely and fresh juices, pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit. We also really enjoyed the tours which we did with De Ada. It was much easier and more personal to do tours out of Meta House than say from ubud Centre, as you are closer to the Volcano, Tegallalang, and Temples. Really glad we waited to get here to do them. Also loved walking through Wayan’s (De Ada’s cousin) rice farm and meeting his family along the way. An unforgettable holiday with great people and we will be back for sure! Laura and Craig

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
