Things to do / Places to Visit nearby

Trearddur Bay Beach – Trearddur Bay is a popular wide sandy bay backed by a sea wall and promenade located about 2 miles south of Holyhead. A dog ban operates on the southern half of the beach from 1st May to 30th September and beach wardens are on duty from late May to early September.

South Stack Lighthouse – The historic South Stack Lighthouse is located on a small island reached via a descent of 400 steps down the steep mainland cliffs. South Stack Rock lies separated from Holyhead Island by 30 metres of turbulent sea, surging to and fro in continuous motion. Visitors may tour the former lighthouse engine room before climbing to the top of the lighthouse. South Stack is a wonderful place to watch thousands of breeding seabirds including guillemots, razorbills and puffins.

Porth Diana Nature Reserve – A small nature reserve near Trearddur Bay, well known for the spotted rock-rose, Anglesey's County Flower.

The Beach Golf Course is a tricky but fun nine holes, pay and play course in Trearddur Bay. Be under no illusion this little nine holer is not as easy as it may seem at first glance, it's a short course true, but it offers a testing and tricky short game, be prepared to loose a ball or two while you negotiate over the inland sea and some elevated tees

Response from the manager
Thank you for reviewing your stay at the cottage. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We are happy the property description and photos show the bedroom layouts clearly for potential guests. We will however, look to make to clearer that bunk beds are more suitable for children. Thank you for contacting us Friday Sept 22nd to report that the toilet seat was broken and the hot water was noisy. We immediately reported the issues to the cleaner who deals with the maintenance issues. As you requested, we informed the cleaner that you were happy for them to address the issues on the changeover after you had left. Thank you for letting us know that the sofa bed was broken. This will be addressed. The cleaners have assured us that the property was properly cleaned before your arrival and that they will investigate the issues that you have raised. The owner funds a basic welcome pack, which is put out by the cleaner and should consist of 7 tea bags, 7 coffee sticks, 7 milk sticks, 10 sugars, 2 toilet rolls, 7 hand soaps, 1 kitchen roll, 1 dish cloth, 1 sponge, 7 dish washer tablets. We have notified the cleaner of your comments. As a result of your comments a comprehensive review of the property will be carried out and we will address the issues raised.
