Literally just off the beaten track, a privately located & slightly elevated detached cottage arranged on one level and with countryside views from every window.
We live further along the track and are on hand to help but equally we’re respectful of your privacy allowing you to completely relax and unwind.
Open-plan living area with a well equipped modern kitchen area. Patio doors plus full length windows to take advantage of the far reaching countryside views & for wildlife watching.
The bedroom has a king-size bed, with a quality feather-effect duvet & pillows (suitable for vegans).
There are thick curtains for a good nights sleep, though if left open, you may watch the sunrise over the valley directly from your bed.
Modern en-suite shower room with plentiful hot water & good water pressure.
WINTER
A well insulated cottage for winter with modern electric radiators plus a cosy real wood burner. Snuggle up in front of the fire and enjoy the views.
SPRING
Wake to the sound of birdsong & take short stroll from the cottage & you’re in beech woodlands carpeted with scented bluebells & natural babbling springs.
SUMMER
Open the patio doors in the living area to make the most of the gentle valley breeze and enjoy the views. Sit outside at night & stargaze.
AUTUMN
Experience the beautiful displays of autumnal leaf colour in the adjacent woods & forage for chestnuts.
Relaxing private garden area to the front of the cottage that overlooks a field & old orchard (where our alpacas and sheep graze) and down to a tree-lined stream with countryside beyond.
Garden bench on a grassy lawn for your morning coffee or to watch the sunrise.
Bistro set on a paved area that benefits from the late afternoon/early evening sun.
The land is primarily managed for wildlife.
Buzzards fly above along the woodland edge, green woodpeckers forage the field, squirrels climb along trees by the stream. At night you may hear the owls. A badger will often pass by on its evening route (dependant on the time of year).
A small herd of family owned friendly Jacob sheep (some have been hand reared) are usually in the field next to the cottage. They rotationally graze with other neighbours so we can’t always guarantee they’ll be there. Our pet alpacas are usually around.
Sorry no dogs due to the proximity of the livestock.
