“Wonderful family home”

I booked the house for my french family. They had a wonderful time and were very impressed with the house. Anne was prompt with communication and made the booking very easy. Thank you Anne

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for your lovely review and pleased to hear that your family enjoyed staying at Milverton and they were very impressed with the house and had a wonderful time staying there!

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for your lovely review! So pleased to hear you really enjoyed staying at Milverton and would like to come back again next year as it was our pleasure having you to stay, and look forward to welcoming you back next year! Totally agree how nice it is to sit outside in the garden looking out onto that fab view, or equally nice when the weather is not warm enough, to sit indoors instead, looking out onto the Straits! Always so lovely, peaceful and relaxing! And such a bonus having Waitrose just a few minutes walk away and lots of different pubs and restaurants too! No need to take the car out in the evening! We always think it’s lovely that the majority of our guests come back and stay many times which is probably the best recommendation we could have!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. So pleased that you enjoyed staying at Milverton and would like to come and stay again as you would be most welcome. Yes nothing nicer than drawing back the curtains in the morning and lying in bed looking out onto that ever changing and very therapeutic view of the Straits! Totally agree that the beaches on Anglesey are first rate and amazing and never really over crowded and good to hear you enjoyed eating some meals outside in the garden, which is always a lovely thing to do. Although we’ve got steps down from the road to the cottage they comply to the new building regulations and don’t think they should be a problem for anyone staying there as there’s a handrail and we’ve had a lot of guests well into their nineties staying and the steps have been fine for them, but that’s why we have a photo of them on the website so guests can see what they are like before they decide whether to book Milverton or not! Good to hear you sampled some of Menai Bridge’s eateries which all have a very good reputation and what is so nice is the fact they are all only a few minutes walk away from Milverton, so no need to have to drive! But always think staying in Menai Bridge is a very good base for not only exploring the whole of Anglesey but North Wales too and the view from the windows of Milverton would be hard to beat! Look forward to welcoming you back to stay if ever you fancy another holiday on Anglesey.

Owner's reply: Thanks very much for your lovely review. Pleased to hear you enjoyed staying at Milverton and found the house well equipped as we’ve tried to think of everything we think guests might need while staying there. And like everyone who stays at the cottage good to hear you enjoyed the wonderful views over the Menai Strait. As you say we can sleep 6 guests in two double and 2 single bedrooms, but we can actually accommodate up to 8 guests as the living room sofa converts to a double sofa bed and can also seat up to 8 guests around both the dining room table and also around the garden table when the weather is nice enough to have meals outside in the garden! It’s certainly a good base for visiting both the whole of Anglesey and North Wales too. If ever you fancy another holiday in this part of the world, you would of course be very welcome to come back and stay at Milverton.

The owners have really made sure everything is taken care of and the location (looking out at Menai Straits) is just stunning. Lots of great pubs and restaurants within walking distance as well as some of the best beaches i have seen in the UK. Highly recommended.
