The North Wales region
The North Wales region is made up of the Isle of Anglesey, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, Coastal North East Wales , North East Wales and Snowdonia. Milverton Cottage is set in an absolutely superb location, not only with stunning views of the Menai Straits, but is a great base to stay to explore the whole of Anglesey and North Wales too, so easy to get to Snowdonia for climbing and winter mountaineering, the Zip Wire at Bethesda, the Electric Mountain at LLanberis and the very pretty and interesting Italian village at Portmerion. The North Wales region is famous for its choirs, it's historical castles and beautiful mountain ranges and valleys and the Gwynedd Region is one of outstanding beauty and has numerous beautiful beaches on Anglesey and also on the Llyn Peninsula.
Anglesey or Ynys Mon is an island of outstanding beauty off the North West coast of Wales. Two bridges span the Menai Strait , connecting it to the mainland, the Menai Suspension Bridge designed by Thomas Telford, which Mikverton Cottage looks out onto , and the Britannia Bridge about a mile away which carries both road and rail transport. Milverton Cottage is set in a fantastic position, elevated just a few metres away from the Menai Straits, and just a few minutes walk to all the amenities of Menai Bridge which include excellent eating places, water sports, shops, pubs etc
Anglesey is jam packed with things to do to do around the area for people of all ages and interests, eg South Stack Lighthouse, Sea Zoo, Model Village, Beaumaris and it's famous castle, and beautiful Georgian houses and pier, Motor Racing Circuit, Phili Butterfly Palas, Plas Newydd National Trust house, golf courses, coasteering, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, wind surfing, mountain walking, gorge scrambling, canoeing, canyoning, numerous museums and galleries and Adventure Rib boat rides etc
Once a year the small town of Menai Bridge ( called Porthaethwy in Welsh) hosts the Menai Bridge Seafood Festival in August, the Island Race, which is the half marathon race, at the beginning of March, and the Menai Bridge Fair and the Menai Bridge Carnival. There are also many small islands near to the town including Church Island, where you can visit the ancient church of St Tysilio, and it's a gorgeous walk along by the Straits from Milverton Cottage along the Belgian Promenade looking out onto the water which is the natural habitat of a great many birds, until you get to Church Island. Anglesey boasts a 125 mile coastline of outstanding beauty, with breathtaking scenery and has many fantastic unspoilt sandy beaches along its coast, which are certainly worth a visit at any time of the year. Milverton Cottage is in a fantastic location looking out onto the ever changing Straits and is a well positioned cottage for exploring the whole of Anglesey and North Wales too.

"AMAZING COTTAGE IN A PERFECT LOCATION"
My wife and I recently had the pleasure to stay at Milverton Cottage for 10 nights. We were expecting a nice place before we got there just by looking at the pictures of the cottage. Once we arrived we were speechless. The Cottage is immaculate and equipped with all the latest fixtures and conveniences. The location provides a breathtaking unobstructed view of both the Menai Straights and the Menai Bridge. The owners of Milverton (Anne and Gerald) were extremely helpful in making sure we could get our bearings quickly. They were also very interested to make sure we had everything we needed. We have rented several properties both in Wales and around the world and this is by far the most special of all. We will most definitely plan on a return visit and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting this wonderful part of the world.
