Waterloo House is a luxurious highland lodge nestled on the hillside within Baddidarrach, overlooking the small fishing village of Lochinver. The lodge boasts stunning panoramic views which include, the 5 peaks of Assynt mountain range (Ben Mor Assynt, Canisp, Conival, Quinag and Suilven). Waterloo is on two levels, with 1 double bedroom and, 1 twin room on the ground floor and a large Double bedroom on the first floor. All Bedrooms have En-suite and we provide towels and bed linen. The lodge has an underfloor heating system throughout and, boasts a large wood burning stove. The kitchen, dining room and living area are open plan providing, a spacious and sociable area to relax in. A small burn passes in front of the lodge which, then opens in to a large pond. Sit outside on one of the two balconies, take in the views with a glass of wine or whisky and, have just the sound of the burn to disturb you. Waterloo house is ideal for couples, friends and, or families who wish to enjoy Lochinver and, the highlands in a luxurious, spacious, remote lodge.

A dolce gusto coffee machine is available, pods not included.

Amazing Place and Beautiful Surroundings, Waterloo House catches you eye straight away, this place is mega clean and has everything you need, Ben and his Staff have set their standards high and they don't disappoint. This is the place to be if you want to relax and chill out and take in everything that is beautiful both in and around, Deer in the garden every morning, star gazing every night, relaxing in the hot tub....AMAZIING... we will be back, thanks Ben for sharing your family home with us, if I could give you 6 stars I would. “Fantastic holiday retreat”

Have just had a week staying at Waterloo House. The property is faultless. Everything you could wish for, to relax and to take in the magnificent views from the lounge window. One of the best lodges we have stayed in! We had deer in the garden every day. In Lochinver we found a nice restaurant called Peets, highly recommend it. A short drive away you have mountain scenery and some great beaches. Hope to stay at this wonderful house soon. Many Thanks

“Excellent holiday”

We had a wonderful time at the holiday house. The fire was brilliant on a cold evening and the hot tub was fantastic as we watched the sun go down and the stars appear. A few shops were closed in Lochinver as it's winter so if you go in early January take plenty of food. Really recommend the house and the owners Ben and Susan were immediate with their response and help when we could not find the wifi code. Already telling friends and family how lovely the time at the house was and hope to stay again.

“wonderfull, Impressive view of the mountains”

The house is a little off-site, but still close to the village. (approx. 1, 5km). In the house there is a lot of space, the kitchen and the living room are a very large and high room, therefore it does not seem overwhelming. The furnishing of the kitchen is sufficient. We could not use the telescope as the days of our stay were cloudy. Nevertheless, the presence is a very good thing. The house offers very good opportunities to spend the day in the house. There is an award-winning hotel restaurant nearby (about 500m). The food is excellent, but it is necessary to make a reservation. The ambiance has come a little into the years. But the staff is super friendly and polite. The Restaurante is not to be compared with a super modern award-winning restaurant. In Lochinvier you will find everything you need, its a small village. You should definitely visit the Lochinver larder a pie shop. There are some hiking possibilities directly from the village, as well as in the surrounding area.

Enjoying our 7 night stay here in Lochinver. The house is gorgeous, well equipped and very comfortable. It's open plan layout works well for family time. Wish I could have this at home! Lots of essential extras left for use such as toilet rolls, dishwasher tabs, cleaning products, which makes such a difference. The beds are very comfortable and the showers very powerful. All in all mist enjoyable!

“Simply Fantastic”

Waterloo House was simply a magnificent home to stay in for the week. The views were breath taking every day. Our honeymoon couldn't have been at a better place!! The house its self and its up keep is fabulous, every room is finished off perfectly and everything you could ever need is there. Lochinver is a beautiful place and takes a long time to explore if used to its full potential. Every area and view is simply lush. It was fantastic going for walks during the day and then either curling up in front of the burning fire, or jumping in the hot tub in the evening. We can't wait to come back again soon. Thank you

“Beautiful house, can't wait to go back!”

We spent 3 nights at Waterloo House at the start of December. The lodge is beautiful, even better than it looks in the photographs. Wood burning stove on for our arrival, a great welcome after a long drive but it was definitely worth it. The views are amazing! High quality fittings throughout. We loved our time in Lochinver and can't wait to return. Thanks Ben!

An excellent modern house with all mod cons set in a peaceful location with great views of the mountains and Lochinver. Plenty of local amenities just a couple of minutes away in the village of Lochinver. We all had a great week staying here and would highly recommend.

Despite the appalling weather that we experienced during our week at Waterloo House we had a very enjoyable week. This had a lot do with the property which was a very comfortable retreat from the outside world. Nearly everything you need is provided in the property so you don't need to take much with you. The setting is superb with stunning views.

How do damage deposits work?
