"Place of our dreams"

We visited birchwood on the last weekend of August and were met with glorious sunshine which luckily stayed with us for the whole weekend! The log cabin is lovely set just back from the loch and is so peaceful. We enioyed the small private beach area secluded from the wind we were able to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful views across the loch. The facilities in the cabin were just perfect, it was our first experience of a hot tub and sauna and boy did we love them!! The double shower was also a nice touch! Everything for us was just perfect we both describe the whole experience as a dream as we saw some breathtaking views and lived a life of luxury for just a few days! Thanks to ali also for the wine biscuits and milk and all her communication, although we didnt meet her she made us feel very very welcome! Wed recommend this place to anyone its so relaxing and romantic and in a beautiful setting. We hope to be back at some point and for longer than 3 nights! Definately recommend 200%!

Thanks very much for your review - I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, and managed to enjoy the beach in the sun. I hope to welcome you back again, I can't promise the sun again, but it's always cosy in the sauna and hot tub!! :o)

We stayed 4 nights and it was total paradise! Every possible pastime was accounted for with a selection of books/magazines, DVDs, Sky TV, hot tub, sauna, music, wi-fi and fantastic views. We were looking for total relaxation and this ticked every box and then some. What more could you ask for?!

Thanks very much for your review - I'm delighted you agree that Birchwood is paradise! Kind regards, Ali

"Perfection personified"

Went further than our expectations. Made even more enjoyable by glorious weather. Had great fun in the canoe, relaxed in hot tub and made use of the sauna. Even the royal doulton tableware was 5*. Hope to be back soon

Thanks very much for your glowing report! The glorious weather has been fantastic hasn't it! I hope to welcome you back again. Regards, Ali

"Fantastic facilities, great value for money"

We stayed for 3 nights at the lodge and would have been happy to spend all our time there! The facilities are great, hot tub, sauna, wifi, full Sky TV package, and the lodge has everything you would need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. We have stayed at many other properties which were more expensive and less well appointed, would recommend for anybody.

What a lovely review - thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Regards, Ali

I took the 3-day package and stayed with my spouse. The visit coincided with my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised when Ali, the cabin owner, gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. I don't know if this is her standard greeting to new guests but it was very much appreciated. The complimentary milk was a treat too. All the facilities are as described in the letting blurb and, like the other reviewers, I had a really good time relaxing in the sauna/hot tub or watching the Sky package at the end of my day. One minor quibble (and it is minor) is that the bedroom is described as 'en suite'. Since it is the only toilet and the bedroom is part of the open plan layout of the cabin it is not 'en suite' as I understand it. Ignoring my pedantry, this is a visit I would heartily recommend to family and friends.

"Beautiful and comfortable"

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights over Easter weekend and had an absolutely lovely weekend. The cabin had the most comfortable bed and sofa we had ever lain on, and the hot tub and sauna were excellent to unwind in at the end of the day. The cabin also contained a variety of books and board games which would come in handy if the weather wasn't great, as well as the full sky tv package, but luckily it was dry enough for us to explore the surrounding area which was stunning. Having a picnic down by the side of the loch with the snow covered hills surrounding us was a highlight, and it was good fun going out onto the loch in the canoe as well. I definitely hope to come back one day!

"perfect place for privacy"

I booked this for my husbands 50th birthday so I wanted something really special and this was definitely it! When we first arrived at the cabin the first thing we noticed was the views they were just breath taking perfectly located, over looking the loch it was totally picturesque. In the cabin it was all set up for our arrival with little special touches a bottle of wine, biscuits, tea and coffee. the hot tub and sauna was just the icing on the cake, OMG what more could you ask for, an evening sat with my husband relaxing with a bottle of wine and back ground music on in the hot tub that was definitely a bonus. Not only having music in the hot tub you could then jump in the sauna and not miss any part of the song because you can transfer the music to the sauna big thumbs up. One night we was sat in the hot tub just watching the snow fall it is a perfect place for privacy, a quiet break and pure relaxation The underfloor heating is fantastic never felt the cold really cosy and it has the full sky package. The cabin is like a home from home it has everything PLUS MUCH MORE! So a really big thankyou to Ali and I would recommend to anyone. Sharon and Derek Doncaster South Yorkshire

"Everything you need to relax and unwind"

Had a short break at the lodge for 2 nights. It is situated just off the main road with great views and a short distance to next town should you need anything. The Lodge had everything you could need to relax. The bottle of wine on arrival went down a treat after the long drive - Thanks Alison. It was very cosy and very clean and we used the sonos sound system all the time, wether it be relaxing in living area or out at hot tub our favourite songs were on play.I have been to a few lodges but this is the best one yet and would highly recommend to anyone

"Truly Spectacular..."

Everything from the start of the journey to arriving home was simply breathtaking. Ali's wonderful cabin is surrounded with stunning views and countryside. Very dramitic scenes with the snow capped mountains made it even more special. The cabin is so homely with everything needed for a special romantic break. The hot tub, sauna and double shower just makes it a perfect place to be visited. We had a very relaxing time during our stay, and came away wanting more...Highly recommended..I wouldnt hesitate to tell friends and family to grab a chance at booking this wonderful place.

"Just fantastic!"

After 8 hours of driving we were firstly met by stunning views of around the loch. We drove up the driveway to the cabin and we were both speechless to what we had booked. It was pure luxury. The access to the cabin was made simple and the owner; Alison had made sure that we received all the information we needed for our stay. We were met with a bottle of wine and tea making facilities ready to go after our long drive. Alison had really thought of everything to make our stay very welcome. There was milk in the fridge, tea bags and coffee ready for us to use. The cabin was very spacious for two and was of a five star rating. We used the hot tub and sauna on a daily basis and this was the cherry on the top for our relaxing stay. The views from the cabin was amazing and we were very lucky to see red squirrels and a range of birds on our doorstep. The canoes we used on a daily basis and this is advised if you wish to see the entire views surrounding loch Tay. I have stayed in lodges before with holiday company's however they do not even come close to this fantastic log cabin at birchwood lodge.
