“Wife’s 30th birthday”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2018

Very comfortable and a great location! We had a group of 11 with a range of age ranges from 2 to 70. All really pleased with the accommodation and we had everything we needed. Great access to everything we wanted to see too!

Owner's reply: Thanks Craig

“Great for Families”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2018

We were really impressed by the lovely house - We booked for my dads 70th with all the family and it was exactly what was needed, and the price was great too. The house was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably and had the benefit of two lounges, so when we got up in the morning with the children we could sit quietly in front of the fire downstairs without waking the whole house up. The games room was an added bonus with some competitive pool games going on and my 5 year old was well impressed by the old school connect 4 game (which, after looking at the box was 40 years old!) The kitchen was large, with table big enough to sit about 10 people, plus a breakfast bar if it was needed. The fridge was massive, and the large range cooker enabled us to cook breakfast for everyone at once easily. The property could do with a few extra spatula's, cooking tongues etc, but we managed. There was plenty of pots and pans and although a few were wearing thin of the non stick coating (probably someone less prepared than us had no cooking oil and managed to burn things!) but we got by comfortably enough. There was a dishwasher which was a great help, and hot water was always instantly available. The utility room was a welcome addition with the extra fridge and I am sure in summer it would be a great place to have a BBQ in the evening. The house is lovely without being too pristine, so you could relax there and it was perfectly comfortable and homely. The owners were always at the end of the phone, or via text if needed and were very pleasant. Overall, we were really pleased with our choice, and had a great weekend away. The only other tips are not of the House - Make sure you drive down to the beach as the hill is STEEEEEEEEEEEEP! I ended up going halfway and then went back for the car!! The food in the pub was overpriced, and very average at best, certainly not reflective of the Trip Advisor reviews- It would be worth getting a taxi the few miles into Beaumaris if you do plan on eating out. Overall - We would have no hesitation in making a glowing recommendation for the property, the location and we will no doubt be back here again sometime.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed our holiday home! Sally and Andrew

“Very nice place to stay”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2018

On overlay the stay has been good. The house is hided but the explanation of the landlord are very useful and percise. The house is beautiful big and big enough for big groups. It has full of different rooms . The only issue has been the hitter and the warm water , everything stopped arround 11pm and the house got cold. In the morning we didn't have any warm water so.most of us couldn't shourwer. We informed the person in charge and they have been helpful and prompt to fix the issue. Unfortunately the morning after we had the same problem

Owner's reply: Hi Glad you enjoyed your stay and apologies for the teething problems with the new water heater timer controller. All sorted now. Sally

“Ideal family get-together location and facilities.”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2017

We were looking for a property to comfortably accommodate 8 adults and 3 children without being under each others feet. This was an ideal property with lovely views in a quiet location. The walk to the beach was challenging but worth it.The local pub was very friendly although we didn't get the chance to try the menu. All things considered a good choice.

“lovely relaxing location for my husbands 65 birthday with our family.”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2017

This property has a stunning out look of the Welsh mountains. There is plenty of room for children to play both inside and out side the house, and the adults have a chance to be children again as well in the games room. It is in a quiet village but is easy to get around the island to all the picturesque beaches. Had a lovely walk out from the cottage around the coastal path to the Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay. Some aspects of the cottage are starting to look a little tied, but did not stop us enjoying our holiday with the family.

Owner's reply: Great to hear you had a great time and we will be getting our paint brushes out as usual this winter to make sure everything is fresh.

“Perfect”

No tips, family enjoyed the setting , the home was spacious. No drawbacks as far as we were concerned.

“everything you could want and more!”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2016

we stayed in this beautiful house for a new year break, there was 6 adults and 5 children and there was more then enough space for us all and it still didn't feel over occupied, the bedrooms were all a good size, the upstairs lounge area was amazing with beautiful views, the children and adults loved the games room! the kitchen was the heart of the house, it was very well equipped with all utensils. the walk to the beach is down a steep hill but the scenery was outstanding, the local pub is definitely worth a visit .. I would recommend this house it was perfect.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2015

Our group of 9 stayed here for my Girlfriends 30th Birthday weekend. The House is lovely, spacious and clean. The Kitchen was a perfect size for our group drinks and breakfast. The games room has a Table tennis/Pool table that made for hours of entertainment. The Spacious Living room upstairs has a lovely view of Snowdonia and there's also another cozy, smaller living room downstairs with a log fire. None of us got under each others feet as the house is big enough to find your own little corner for quiet time if needed. The whole group loved the house and made the most of our time there although 2 nights just wasn't enough.

“Brilliant holiday for all 3 generations”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2015

This is a great spacious family house in a superb location 3 miles from beautiful Beaumaris. The beds are comfortable and the huge well supplied kitchen is a gem! Add the bonus's of a utility room and a pool room and you couldn't ask for more when holidaying with teenage and infant grandchildren. The village pub is in easy walking distance, is welcoming, and serves good food at a very reasonable price. The owners are easy to contact and that makes a huge difference. Great time whatever the weather.

“Lovely large house with every "home comfort" and beautiful views.”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2015

We had a great holiday here - the house was very clean and obviously cared for. The kitchen adn utility room provided for every need - massive oven, dishwasher, washing machines and tumble drier. The owners have helpfully collected brochures of places to go and a list of restaurants and also provide a good variety of board games. We would definitely recommend this property to others.
