It is situated on an elevated site at the end of a quite cul de sac overlooking Killorglin town with panoramic views of the McGillycuddy Reeks-----Ireland's highest mountain range. It is suitable for elderly or infirm. It has a large walled in garden with gates and private parking spaces. Killorglin is situated on a hill overlooking the River Laune, famous for its salmon and trout fishing. Dominating the landscape to the south are the McGillycuddy Reeks ----- Irelands highest mountain range. The nearby Caragh Lake and Caragh River are also famous for fishing. Rossbeigh Beach and playground a few kilometers away. killorglin and Dooks golf clubs nearby. Mountain climbing to Carrantouhill 3414 feet high. Boat hire on Caragh Lake. Horse riding on Rossbeigh Beach. Rent bikes in Killorglin. Take a quiet walk by the river Laune.

Killorglin

Sunhill Cottage is an ideal base for touring the Ring of Kerry a day trip which is 179 kilometers circular route around the Iveragh Peninsula. You can also take a trip to Killarney and visit Muckross House and gardens and the Muckross Farms and Torc Waterfall. You can take a Water Bus Tour on the Killarney Lakes or a Jaunting car trip to Ross Castle and around the lakes. Take a day trip to Dingle and Slea Head and stop off for tea and apple pie at Cafe and enjoy the view. see Fungi the dolphin in Dingle Bay. Take a walk or a horse back ride or pony trap ride through the Gap of Dunloe and stop off for a pint of Guinness or an Irish Coffee at Kate Kearneys Cottage. Take a half day trip to Valentia Island cross by the ferry from Renard Point --- Visit the Grotto --- The Slate Quarry ---- The beautiful Geokaun Mountain and Fogher Cliffs Valentia Islands highest point. Try some of Valentia homemade ice cream. You can return from the Island by crossing the bridge (built in 1970) to the lovely Portmagee Village. The Red Fox Inn world famous for its Irish Coffee and the Historic Kerry Bog Village. Beautiful,a very high standard. Excellent location. Very quite, yet just on the edge of town. Great location to see the kingdom.
