“Wonderful second visit!” We stayed at Crab cottage three years ago and vowed we would come back as we loved it so much. We were not disappointed on our second visit. The cottage was as well equipped, comfortable and clean as we remembered. Luckily we had a week of really great weather, so we were able to really enjoy the outdoor areas and had many a game in the garden. We explored some new areas around Cork, but still found time to do lots of walking around the cottage and crabbing at Mill Cove (find the pier at the far side if you can), we caught 38 crabs in one 90 minute session and our small boys were absolutely ecstatic! Crab cottage has everything a family needs for a great break away in one of my favourite parts of the world, and we will be back again. In fact I really didn't want to come home!

“Perfect accommodation, great location, superb hosts” Copper Beech Farm was everything that we could have hoped for and more. The Barn was well-furnished, very attractive and had everything we could possibly need. With its location close to Cork, Kinsale and beyond, our vacation was full of adventure. The Sheehan family were charming hosts, answering all of our questions and providing good advice for our young family. In particular, our two young boys had a wonderful time helping to milk the cows, feed the calves and bounce on the trampoline. We particularly enjoyed the wood stove in the evenings and the beautiful countryside that surrounds it. We would strongly recommend Copper Beech Farm.

Holiday cottage in Clonakilty

Clonakilty cottage

“Perfect for two” We stayed at The Blue School's studio cottage during September 2012 and we will certainly be back. The cottage is situated just outside Clonakilty and was in the ideal location for us; a quiet retreat away from the bustle of the centre but close enough to visit the town daily just to explore or pick up supplies. The apartment is furnished in a rustic style giving it a cosy, homely feel. The cottage was perfect for two and very well equipped, the owners had thought of everything. We wanted a place where we could cook proper meals and found the house had everything we needed to do this (often holiday rentals don’t!). The cottage was clean, warm and private but it was nice to know that Ina and Jean Luc were just next door should we need them. Clonakilty is a faultless holiday location with the most beautiful beaches, endless possibilities for walking and outdoor activities not to mention plenty of lovely pubs (many with live music) and restaurants to choose from at the end of the day. We loved the house and the location...can’t wait to return!

“Perfect!” I cannot recommend Kilcoe Cottage highly enough. I stayed for a long weekend with a group of girlfriends and we loved everything about it. Sharon has thought of everything you could possibly need to make this a home from home (although I only wish my home was this fabulous!). From the huge fluffy towels waiting for you when you step out of the shower and a kitchen that Delia would be proud to call her own, to the freshly picked wildflowers on the table, and of course, Sharon's awesome homemade lemon drizzle cake, every detail has been thought out and planned. The hot tub is the ultimate luxury and the location is perfect for long walks and a spot of exploring. I only hope I can go back and visit again soon!

Fawnmore
Wonderful Location

After two decades or more of visiting the Mizen peninsula, we decided to branch out and look for a place on Sheep’s Head. What a great spot! Beautiful location with a view sweeping from Durrus, through Mt Gabriel and Toormore, Carbery island, Dunmanus Bay and all the way to Mizen Head. The house was well appointed, really clean and perfect for our family (Mum, Dad and two teenagers). A beautiful sunroom at the end which benefitted from those views and was also a lovely place to read and take a quiet moment. We used here as a base and visited everywhere from Glengarriff and Ballylickey, through Bantry(the nearest big town) and hit Schull, Skibbereen, even getting as far East as Bandon and Clonakilty a few times. Highly recommend here as a quiet retreat or a good spot for families to use as a base for walking, sailing, biking or driving around west Cork. And the O'Mahony family couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating. We’ll definitely be back.see more
Carleton Village
Very good but no internet

We really enjoyed the property which is a great size and very comfortable. Only one point which we hadn't realised when we booked was that there is no internet at the property and with three late teenagers this proved problematic. Even so we all enjoyed the property and location. … see more

Welcoming stay

Terrific

Found this to be the ideal holiday rental. House was really welll equipped and we had a multitude of t.v. channels to chose from when we stayed home. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location in ideal for taking trips to other parts of West Cork and Kerry. Sufficient to say we had a great time in No. 18 and hopefully will return next year. Thank you!see more

Lovely place to Stay

Charming bungalow with all amenities close by and lots of places to go and see . We chose the bungalow for location and although it was up hill it didn't take us long to walk to town . We were warm and cosy even on stormy days and was able to shop locally for our groceries and eateries were plentiful and a wide range to choose from . We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recomend this lovely place it felt like a home from home with a nice view over the river .see more
