“Wonderful location” We were three adults enjoying a short break in the Dingle Peninsula. Brandon Mountain Cottage was very comfortable and spotless throughout. Great attention to detail here. The kitchen was well fitted out and lots of throws and rugs ensured we were comfy on chilly evenings. The views from the house of Brandon Bay and the mountains beyond were spectacular. A lovely walk to the beach as well as a vigorous climb to the summit of nearby Mount Brandon, added to the joy of our stay. Linda was very helpful and made us feel very much at home.

“Beautiful in Spring” We visited Kerry in May 2010 and stayed in Scorid Cottage. What a beautiful location right at the foot of Connor Pass with mountains all around and beautiful views of the sea. The house itself is bright and spacious and extremely well maintained by its friendly and helpful owners Veronica & Michael. It is located near to a picturesque mountain stream and in May the fields around Scorid Cottage were filled with newly born lambs playing happily. We found that it was the perfect location for touring West Kerry. It is only a thirty minutes drive from the larger town of Tralee and that was also a wonderful place to visit. We had a great holiday and we will always remember, the relaxing walks, the scenery, but especially all the new friends that we made.

“Wonderful stay in Dingle!” Our group of 10 ended our trip to Ireland staying in Dingle at the lovely, accommodating home Didean. We began each morning with a walk to the beach and around the beautiful, scenic neighborhood to visit the sheep, cows, horses and some neighbors building a wall. A neighbor's dog, Monster (misnomer as she was sweet), was waiting each morning to walk with us. We ended each day at the large kitchen table discussing our plans for the next day, playing cards, sipping wine, or having a meal. The home was perfect for our group with space to spread out, wifi, a washer and dryer and everything we needed. We were blessed with beautiful weather for our stay, perfect for viewing Dingle town, Slea Drive (stunning) and even Killarney and the Ring of Kerry one day.

Brandon Mountain Cottage
Best location!

We love this location. It’s away from it all but from the cottage you can walk down to Cappagh beach in minutes or if you’re feeling more energetic you can walk into Cloghane or to the pier for a drink/outside dining, or up to the start of the Mount Brandon hike for a fantastic view from the grotto (or by all means go all the way up Brandon but that’s a full day hike and quite difficult so come prepared). You definitely do need a car and it’s only 25 mins drive over the Connor Pass to Dingle for supermarkets, restaurants etc or same to Castlegregory for surfing lesions, water inflatables, horse riding on the beach etc. The cottage is old but it’s very comfortable and everything is spotless and in excellent working order. The internal stairs are steep so keep that in mind if relevant. The two double rooms are spacious, the bunk room is fine for kids or teens. The WiFi is very good. Linda is extremely helpful and in our case was able to accommodate changes from a booking earlier in the year due to COVID restrictions which we appreciated. Oh and the best bit... the views. Photo of the full moon from the front garden. Thanks Linda!see more

Beautiful house. Great location

We arrived on a beautiful sunny evening. We where travelling with our daughter and her partner. We where met by Nora who was lovely & had plenty of advice about booking for restaurants. The house itself is perfectly situated on the edge of town with a 5 min walk to the heart of Dingle. There is a large Supervalue 2 mins away & a garage with a Centra attached right across the street. The house is spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need even a dishwasher. We sat in the sun room every evening watching the sunsets with a glass of wine. So relaxing. Because of covid we were unable to stay in any bars (and only when having food) for more than 2 hours. Booking in advance is essential. We ate at Paudies in Dingle Bay Hotel, John Longs & Murphy's. All really nice meals. We had take away from the fish box which is a chippy like no other & MUST be booked in advance. We booked at 2pm for 6pm. Look it up on line & you will see the amazing menu. A fish lovers dream. The town itself is very busy so booking is essential. We took the obligatory trip out to see Fungi & we weren't disappointed. He popped up to see us a lot. We also did the Falconry Experence which I highly recommend especially if like my daughter you love owls. We did the Slea Head Drive & saw some beautiful beaches & scenery, but have to say going over Connie's pass to Castlegregory was breath taking. My daughter visited the Aquarium which they really enjoyed. All in all we had a wonderful trip. All agreed we didn't want to come home. Big thank you to Nora for the advise.see more
Ballinleague Lodge
A perfect location!

This is a beautiful home that is perfectly located to discover the Dingle peninsula. It is well designed with a cosy split level dining room / kitchen configuration that we loved. Looking out of every window in the sitting room, you enjoy breathtaking views of the incredible and varied beauty of this place. All the highlights of this peninsula are only a short drive away; the beautiful sandy beach of Ventry is nearby and walkable; 5 mins drive away is Cruach Mharthain, an easily climbed peak with a most rewarding view on a good day. Our favourite, doing the Slea Head drive in the evening to watch the sun set behind the Blaskets is simply amazing and a must on a sunny evening.see more
