Welcome to Ballinleague Lodge

A delightful designer home which radiates light, warmth and ease.

Its prize Location, nestled into the intersection of the Peninsula on the Shamrock trail, means you will be close to many of the treasures of the Dingle area and to Ventry's expansive and pristine Blue Flag Beach, (2.5km, see photo). Stroll across the beautiful strand to the quaint, seaside Ventry Village ( see photos) perched on the headland, where you can enjoy its highly rated Seafood Restaurant, Pub, Shops, Cafe and Delicatessen. You will be a short distance from places with outstanding Archaeological Treasures (6km radius) - Iron Age Forts, 800 yr old Beehive Huts, Megalithic Wedge Graves and the Knight of Kerry's Castle. Places where mythological battles were fought and great poems made - the 15th century "King of the World"! Stop at the Crossroads and have the craic in our 'local', the iconic Paudie O'Shea's Pub/Restaurant, beside the Shop and Church ( RC) which houses a fascinating Bob O Cathail work.. Cross the Clasach to Dunchaoin (4km) resplendent in history, heritage and breathtaking views of the Blasket Islands. Celebrate the land and sea scapes, which were the settings of classic films 'Ryan's Daughter' and 'Star Wars,Episode V11,' from the wonderful Slea Head(8km) Picnic along the many outstanding beaches eg Coumeenoole ( 6 km, see photo ) and Clogher beach adjacent to Louis Mulcahy's famous pottery and restaurant.

The Lodge, which has natural surfaces throughout for easy maintenance, is a great base from which to tour. Its a harbour for the outdoor enthusiast, ( golf, surfing, fishing, hillwalking, horse riding etc facilities nearby) Its a haven for the artist, the musician, the photographer or for those who wish simply to relax and be rejuvenated in an ambiance of calm and tranquility in the lovely reflected blue and purple light of the surrounding fields and mountains.

We will meet you on your arrival to show you around the house, ensure you know how everything works and answer your questions. We will give you an information folder on the area and any hints to help you make the most of your stay.

We provide a Welcome Hamper, containing tea, coffee, milk, and some local goodies to help you settle in.

There will also be a complimentary Cleaning Pack with cloths, tea towel, washg up liquid, washing machine / dishwasher tablets for your convenience.

We advise you to advance book select Restaurants, Tours, Cultural events, Sporting activities, Alternative and Complimentary Therapy sessions and Health and Beauty clinics if desired and we will be happy to help you if requested.

If Kate (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
