It sits adjacent to the majestic Killarney National Park. It has been beautifully restored to its former glory with all modern conveniences. The manor is nestled in a 68-acre private walled landed estate near Killarney Town, a popular starting point for the Ring of Kerry Tour. Food shopping is a delight with some of the best food and wine shops minutes away and open late everyday.

There is a separate dining room where guests have more formal dinners. After dinner, feel free to unwind in one or two large, welcoming living rooms. “Vacation of a lifetime”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2014

Your review for Property #60012 has been posted. You can now see your review on the owners property page by clicking the link below. Myself and 11 other golfers stayed at Coolclogher House for a week. It was our home base to play at 7 fantastic golf courses in the most spectacular scenery in all of Ireland. The manor House is replete with fine furnishings and high end appliances and creature comforts. After golf we would socialize outside in the spectacular garden with magnificent views and have a nice meal or barbeque. The Harnetts are top notch hosts and we became fast friends during the week. Needless to say we will be coming back in the future as we had the vacation of a life time. Damian

Owner's reply: Thanks Damian and to all the lovely guests who stay with us here at the manor. We could not maintain this very large historic manor to this high standard without your support. It is a joy having you stay with us thank you.

“Elegant country manor right in Killarney!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2014

Website pictures are impressive, but still don't do justice to Coolclogher House. Very warm, stoked fireplaces in most community rooms, lots of space - two sitting rooms, large kitchen, bedrooms range from very large to huge! All en suite too. Proprietor Mary (with able assist from husband Maurice) is bubbly "Irish friendly", and very accommodating. She helped us arrange local transport, both tours and taxis, so we didn't have to even rent a car are avoided ackward "other side of the road" driving (we're from US). Sixty plus acres of manor grounds, and from front door cannot see anything man made, just the gorgeous mountains of Dunloe Gap - yet only a pleasant, short 1 1/2 mile or so walk into central Killarney to pubs, restaurants, shopping etc. (or an inexpensive taxi ride). We had a great time, so much so we are returning in 2015, this time brining the family. Very affordable when considered on a per couple basis, excellent value for your money.

“50th wedding Anniversary celebration week with family and friends.”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2014

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversay by staying at Coolclogher House with family and friends. The "Manor" as we affectionately called Coolclogher House exceeded our expectations in location, accommodations and hospitality. We loved it! Mary and Morris were so gracious and helpful in helping us with plans from getting taxis to planning a gourmet meal at Manor. I would recommend Coolclogher House to anyone considering visiting Southern Ireland.

“We were so lucky to find Coolclogher House”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2014

We are a group of 10 Canadian friends who were in Ireland to golf and sight-see. Mary welcomed us to her beautiful house with a warm Irish welcome. All the rooms are spacious with large ensuite bathrooms. Each couple truly felt they had the 'best' room! The views from the house are breathtaking. Mary facilitated our transportation for golf and sight-seeing, and arranged for a chef to come in to prepare excellent dinners on 2 occasions. We loved walking around the property and sitting on the patio just enjoying the scenery. The house is close to Killarney and not far from excellent golf courses. Coolclogher is a very special house with very special hosts, and we'd love to return some day.

“The perfect place to spend any event!!”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2014

We decided to take our family to Ireland to celebrate our fiftieth wedding anniversary. That included six adults and seven grandchildren ages ranging from 2 to 11. Mary was the perfect hostess as she was always willing to suggest different events that satisfied the needs of our entire family. The house was absolutely wonderful and the location gave us the opportunity to travel to a number of beautiful places. Mary had suggested that we have Claude prepare an anniversary dinner for the adults and a special meal for the children. What a delight and memorable event. Claude did an outstanding job. This house is like a second home and Mary and Morris make it feel so.

“Heaven in Ireland”

Reviewed 29 Feb 2012

what a great home in such a wonderful setting. when you add incredible accommodations and absolutely first class service you have an experience that our group had when we visited Mary's home in Killarney. for any group that is visiting Ireland and the Killarney area, and are looking for a base from which to sight see, fish and/or play golf you could not ask for a better location and a more serene setting than Coolclogher House. flexibility is the norm. the first 5 days we traveled and ate out the last two we asked Mary to bring in a chef for a sit down dinner(absolutely amazing service and food to die for), another night the chef prepared Irish Stew and left it for us to enjoy in a casual setting. every evening we had a choice of two sitting rooms with a wonderful peat fireplace and comfortable seating for the 12 of us. general consensus of the group was that the next time we are in Ireland we will definitely go back to Coolclogher House. A gem of a house and a great host. Thanks Mary.

Owner's reply: We are most fortunate to get really lovely people staying with us. Thank you so much for your kind words.
