“Another few days of Heaven”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2015

We seem to be blessed with wonderful weather whenever we visit Embleton and the cottages owned by Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel. But even if it is cold and blustery all of the cottages are warm, beautifully furnished and equipped with support on hand from friendly and efficient staff. We have been using Rose Cottages and the Police House cottages for a number of years and they have always been first rate for our family and dogs.

Dear Janice We would firstly like to thank you for the time you have taken to write and post your review of The Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel. We are always grateful for our guest?s comments and are continually striving to improve. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit with us and hope to see you again very soon. “Another excellent experience at the Rose Cottages”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2015

We've been regular visitors to Northumberland for over 10 years staying in Embleton which is an excellent base from which to visit the many places of interest in the county and walk the wonderful coastline with our dogs. This is the second time we've rented one of the Rose Cottages. They are perfect if you want a little independence away from the main hotel but still with full access to the hotel facilities. The cottage feels like 'home from home', It has all the equipment you need to cook if you want to, but my Wife is also on holiday from cooking so we use the hotel restaurant! The Dunstanburgh restaurant is excellent and the quality of food and service seems to get better each year we come! We will be back again next year to enjoy another peaceful few days in Northumberland.

Loved it before, love it now, and we have booked up to return in six months what more can I say? Surrounding area can't be bettered, service throughout the complex is first class and nothing is any trouble at all. We and our pet dog are always made welcome and made to feel at home.

“A great "away from it all" break. Enjoyed annually for many years.”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2015

The cottages at Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel have provided us with a very relaxing and comfortable break for many years now. Warm and well equipped, they provide an ideal base for enjoying and exploring both the local area and further afield. A few seconds walk through the garden takes us to a cosy bar and super restaurant in the hotel, where the owners and staff always provide a friendly service. Secure, off-road parking and everything you could need for a week-end or longer break in a stunning environment.

“Another fantastic break”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2015

This is our second time staying at Rose cottages and will not be our last. The cottage is lovely and cosy, clean fresh and of a high standard. What makes it better is we can take our dogs. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The village is lovely and just a short walk to the beach. Outside is a garden to sit in for afternoon tea, or something stronger. The hotel is just over the road with a bar and restaurant.

“First class, warm and welcoming experience, nothing was too much trouble.”

From arrival to departure our needs were met, the cottage was very comfortable clean and warm, even had a log fire laid ready to light. We stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast, and found the food excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
