The Duck House is a stunning two bedroom cottage in the charming and un-spoilt village of Cowden in Kent and is well placed for exploring the beautiful Kent and Sussex countryside or delving into local history.

If you are looking for an idyllic retreat in Rural England, that offers holiday accommodation of an extremely high standard, then The Duck House self catering cottage is for you.

The Duck House is found by meandering down a private lane and overlooks several ponds that teem with wildlife. The self catering cottage is on a quiet private lane that leads to a Manor House with large livery stables, where one can take riding lessons. The rural location is ideal for those who enjoy the outdoor life with direct access to 90 acres of woodland and an extensive network of bridle paths and walks.

“Peaceful getaway in Kent”

The duck house is a fantastic, clean and tidy little cottage set in amazing grounds with lots of wildlife and forest walks to hand. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend as a place to escape to the country, while still being handy to necessities.

Why can't I call Biz (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Biz (the owner) a message.

If Biz (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
