"Wonderful Characteristic place to stay...."

Our family were so impressed with this beautiful cottage. It is in a great location for the City Center of Chester (1 min walk). I loved all the extra special touches that Barbara & Andrew had done with the place and will definitely being staying again. I am living abroad at the moment and needed a place to stay whilst visiting my family...they were also charmed with this cottage. Thank you to both for making this place feel like a home from home. See you on my next visit!!

"Amazing stay in Chester, great location, clean, and well decorated!"

Barbara and Andrew provided a great place for my coworkers and I. We were working at Airbus for the week and everything went perfectly for us. They even had a breakfast basket for us and an air mattress upon request. We loved using the modern kitchen and all the rooms were cozy and cute. They met us at the door with the keys and helped us sort out parking and showed us around.Really comfy beds! Everyone in my group was pleased!

"Fabulous property and hosts"

As expats, we've rented many properties around the UK whenever we came home for our holidays or school visits. Douglas house is one of the best we've stayed at. The house is full of character but with all the latest mod cons to make the stay wonderful. The location of the house is great, you certainly don't need a car there but permit parking is available right outside. Barbara and Andrew are wonderful hosts and provided us with a nice hamper to get us started. Would love to have cooked a nice meal using the wonderfully equipped kitchen but only managed to cook breakfast. There are just too many nice places to eat, all within walking distance. Will definitely be telling our friends and family about this gem.

"Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location"

We rented Douglas Cottage for a girly weekend in January. It was perfect! Just a short walk from the station with parking (by permit) for a car outside it was easy to find and just a very short walk from the shops and the sights. The cottage itself was immaculate and beautifully presented. We really couldn't fault it. Each room was distinctive and imaginatively decorated with beautiful furnishings and antiques. The bathrooms were of the highest standard as was the kitchen (although the oven was so high tech it had us flummoxed a bit, although a quick read of the instructions solved that). There was a lovely little back yard although 3 inches of snow meant we didn't try it. Barbara and Andrew were really hospitable and had left us a lovely little welcome pack with bread, milk, coffee, tea, butter and a few goodies which was really kind of them. They were also kind enough to let us stay an extra couple of hours on the Sunday, although they won't always be able to do that if they have other guests coming in, it was really nice of them to accomodate this request. All in all we had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend this cottage.
