On the ground floor there is another large room with two single beds and a full bathroom ( toilet, bidet, shower, sink ) . In addition , under the stairs , there is a second large fridge-freezer , so there is no need to go upstairs to take cold drinks or ice cream .very nice is the terrace of 15 sqm , of course with sea views, overlooking the harbor . Ideal for an aperitif, a dinner, perhaps by candlelight, or for sunbathing in the afternoon, when it is very sunny.Quality furnishings and finishes are of family, very pleasant and prestigious. The house, also for its location, is truly luxurious. It is suitable for people who are on holiday and want something really special in an exclusive placeon arrival, you will find a little welcoming, with seasonal fruits, eggs and organic olive oil, snacks and sweets, and some other pleasantness ...Even milk, tea, etc. ... including a good bottle of wine: it can be pleasurable to sip, maybe in the evening, perhaps by candlelight on the terrace, a glass of chilled white wine, or maybe red...this for our way of welcoming...

Location description from owner

The Sicily region

Sicily offers a lot for those who want a relaxing and cultural holiday, as well as for those seeking fun . The weather is usually beautiful, sunny , pleasant .
You can enjoy the natural scenery as well as in its various architectural styles and monuments , which , many are present on the island .
Since the Middle Ages the Nordic peoples were attracted by our land: there is an example of this in the style " Arab - Norman " , which combines historic architectural elements Arabic with Normans elements.
Even today , the period of domination Norman, Swabian and French are remembered as periods of increased prosperity and splendor of the island. Kings as Frederick II, Constance of Hauteville and Roger II made ??history , not only of Sicily, but of the entire maditerraneo and in Europe.
You can visit many churches, especially in Palermo, all really nice, and various museums and historic houses.
There are beaches of all types, as well as the mountains and hills offer really beautiful sceneries.
We must not forget the food : Sicilian cuisine is really delicious , and the ingredients for the way you cook .
Not only good fresh fish , but all that the island's culinary tradition has handed down and that today is even more valued .

Castellammare del Golfo

the area of Castellammare offers numerous leisure activities and places to visit .
Nearby is the archaeological park of Segesta, with the ancient temple and amphitheater . You can also relax at the spa of Segesta.
A superb location just a few miles is the Tonnara of Scopello , until the eighties engaged in tuna fishing, and now visited by guests and tourists, offers a crystal clear sea in the enchanting Faraglioni .
Recommend a visit to the Zingaro Nature Reserve , accessible by sea and by land.
From Castellammare , you can easily reach and visit Selinunte , Trapani and salt marshes , Mozia and Marsala , Palermo.
You can relax in the beautiful beaches and enjoy the natural scenery that offers the area, and at the same time spend a cultural holiday.
From the house you come very easily to the port of Castellammare (the " marina" ) , and in front of the house itself, you can see the fishermen arrive with freshly caught fish , and if you like, buy it directly from them.
At the marina you can rent boats and take advantage of big boats that leave from there and go around the coast to the Zingaro Reserve and San Vito.

“Fantastic house, marvellous views, great location!!”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2016

We stayed here in early September and had a wonderful time. The house is situated by the old castle overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the boats coming and going and the fishermen selling their fish. The house is very well equipped it has everything you need to cook you own meals if you choose, it even has beach towels and beach umbrellas. Marco was fantastic, he met us in his car at a predetermined spot and we followed him to the house - the roads in the town are quite narrow! We were overwhelmed by his kindness and generosity - he had provided an extensive welcome pack of croissants, biscuits, wine, bread, butter, jam etc.as well as homemade olive oil and lemoncello. Marco's mother had made us the most delicious cake and amazing vegetarian pasta bake. Marco was very informative and told us the best restaurants and sites to visit. We would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone looking for a taste of the real Sicily!
