From the owner

The Willows End is a self-contained; double glazed and centrally heated one bedroom annex attached to the main house. It is situated in a Welsh valley just outside Caersws.

Access is via its own front kitchen door and there is an additional back door from the lounge which means that you have complete privacy during your stay. The kitchen has everything for two guests including a fridge freezer, electric cooker with separate grill, microwave and a washing machine. The lounge has comfortable seating and an electric fire for additional heating if required. There is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player and CD player/radio. Access to the garden is through the rear door in the lounge. The dining room has a table and 4 chairs with a window overlooking the large patio area. Access to the kitchen is via a step from the dining room. There is a fully equipped shower room and toilet downstairs. Upstairs the bedroom has a 6ft Super King bed with an orthopaedic mattress which can be split into 2 x 3ft singles if requested. There is also a comfortable chair to sit in and enjoy the lovely views from the bedroom.

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STEPS AND THE LACK OF A TOILET UPSTAIRS THE PROPERTY MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR GUESTS WITH LIMITED MOBILITY.

Outside, the patio area has its own table and chairs. This area can be a real sun trap. Guests are free to use any of the gardens surrounding the property if they wish. Free internet access is also available.

The Willows End is down a small lane and is at the rear of the main house which is called “The Willows”. It is away from the main road, has its own parking area and has fields on either side. The Severn Way is 10 minutes’ walk along the lane from the property and the village of Caersws and railway station is 5 minutes’ walk in the opposite direction. The station has regular trains to Birmingham and Aberystwyth.

The village has a garage, two village shops, an excellent fish and chip shop and 3 pubs. 150 meters from the property is the River Severn for fly fishing - day tickets are available from the village Spar shop.

The Willows End is an ideal base for those who wish to walk, cycle or drive to explore the scenery in this lovely part of mid Wales. The busy market town of Newtown is 15 minutes’ drive and further afield you will find Welshpool offering many attractions including Powis Castle and The Welshpool and Llanfair Steam Railway. You could also take a drive to the stunning Dams of Clywedog and The Elan Valley. Further afield, you are about one hours drive away from the Snowdonia National Park and Aberystwyth on the coast.

The owners have put a pack together showing many of the attractions in the area for you to enjoy.

You are assured of a friendly welcome from the owners Tony and Noreen who live in the main house. They are more than happy to offer suggestions, assistance and help if required. There will be tea, coffee, milk and sugar in the kitchen on arrival. They have put together a full Guest Information Pack and have included leaflets and brochures on local attractions and places to visit in the surrounding area. On booking full details of how to get to The Willows End and other information you may need will be sent to you by the owners.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anthony (the owner) a message.

If Anthony (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
