Mynydd Holiday Cottage is part of Cerrig y Barcud Holiday Cottages Anglesey. We offer eight beautifully furnished holiday cottages. Enjoy amazing views of Snowdonia, stunning scenery, and walks from the front door. Cerrig y Barcud is an extremely friendly, family run business. Whatever your choice of holiday cottage, you will feel at home from the moment you open the front door and once our guests have discovered Cerrig y Barcud, many return again and again.

Mynydd is a single-storey cottage and sleeps from two to four persons in comfort. A cot can also be accommodated in either bedroom (we can provide travel cot at no extra cost)

Mynydd Holiday Cottage is perfect for families and also ideal for a couple who may prefer more spacious surroundings or prefer separate bedrooms.

The cottage has an open-plan lounge/dining area with fitted kitchen. The two bedrooms are situated at either end of the cottage which gives extra privacy. One bedroom has a king-size double bed, whilst the other has two singles.

Mynydd Holiday Cottage has open views of the surrounding countryside and glimpses of the Menai Straits. French doors off the lounge lead to the patio at the rear of Mynydd Cottage. The front leads directly to the large lawns. Car parking is conveniently arranged adjacent to the cottages.

Cerrig y Barcud Holiday Cottage provides a range of facilities including Games Room and Play Area. Set apart from the cottages, our Games Room offers table tennis, pool, air hockey and table football to provide entertainment whatever the weather. Our family of goats live next to the play area, and children can see and feed the animals from here. Our ponies will often come up to the fence to say hello too! The large lawned areas at the front of the cottages are ideally suited for football, cricket and other games

A laundry is available on site including washing machine and dryer.

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cottages. You will find your cottage contains high quality furniture and equipment in immaculate condition, carefully prepared for your holiday.

Getting around

We recommend that you have use of a car during your stay to make the most of your time on Anglesey and nearby Snowdonia. There are however bus and trains that may be useful if for example you plan to walk sections of the coastal path, and then get back to your starting point Train In addition to the main train station at Holyhead, there are request stop stations at Valley), Rhosneigr, Ty Croes, Bodorgan, and Llanfairpwll Bus Numerous bus services run to all the coastal towns on the island, and regular services run around the north coast of the island on the A5025, and slightly less frequently on the A4080. The only places with infrequent services are the north west and north east corners of the island - Carmel Head and Llaneilian respective

The warmest of welcomes are always received at cerrig y barcud. Matthew and Annemarie provide a little piece of paradise in the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. The cottages, with views across to Snowdonia, are maintained to the highest standard and are very well equipped for self catering. We have booked again and again and are never disappointed :)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
